1790 to 2000?

I have 3 weeks to get my score up to a 2000. Break down of my scores are Math650 CR530 and Writing610 . How can i do this, what do i use, someone please help. I want to get my CR up to atleast a 600. and Math and Writing 700. I THINK that is the easiest way, but if someone has a better plan please let me know. Thank You.

Focus on writing and math since those two are the easiest to improve; they’re both formulaic. Silverturtle is helpful for writing, but generally any grammar book will do. I’m using a GMAT one I picked up at a cheap price actually and it’s great. Math rules and writing rules don’t change. As for Critical Reading, Sparknotes has a great overview of that. What I’ve found helpful for Critical Reading is strategy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t (with me at least), but it’s pretty solid.

But your safest bet is to take a lot of practice tests. Quickly brush up concepts and hit the practice tests. If you can find enough and you have the time do 2 a day (or one a day… lol no one’s going to find 42 tests easily) and do them, meticulously checking all the wrong questions you got.

That’s my advice but then again I’m not really one that got a 2400 or a 2300. There are some great threads on here. Look around.

Thanks! Anyone else who could give me some tips? Maybe someone whos actually DONE it?

Take a lot of practice tests, and for literally every question you miss, ask yourself why you missed it and come up with a general rule for that type of question, so that you don’t miss it in the future. In other words, every single question you miss during a practice test is an entire type of problems that you won’t be missing on the real SAT. Take this part seriously; after every practice test, spend maybe 20-30 minutes analyzing all of your problems. Do that, and you can raise your score so much after just going through the 10 practice tests in the Official SAT Study Guide.

I’m a self-studied 2400, and what I described above was the most important and fundamental part of how I taught myself the SAT.

If you want specific tips for individual categories, ask, but there are already a lot of great resources on this site about that. Here’s a great one for critical reading (I didn’t use the same method, but the ideas are really solid):

I did 1680 to 2070 from March to October.

I liked Grammatix, Rocketreview, Barrons, Grubers (Math only), and the official guide.
