So basically I took the SAT I for the first time last March, I got a 1770. I was a bit disappointed, because my goal was 1900+. So I studied myself extensively, and just now I recieved my scores of the SAT i took in May, and i got a freaking 1890!!

My question is, when you're on the border like that, does it make a ton of difference if your a few points under. In other words, does a score in the 1900's look muchhh better than an 1890? Should I retake for the 3rd time?

eek i hate when that happens. to a person unfamiliar with sats perhaps but to college adcoms probably not. they know how small of a mistake is b/t a 1890 and a 1900!

The first time I took the SAT I scored somewhere in the 1800s. I retook it and got a 1900. I wasn't sure if I wanted to take it a third time but I ended up taking it again and I scored a 2000. So I personally improved, and it wasn't because of studying material, I guess it was just because I mentally prepared myself more. I would say take it again after a little bit of studying. I'm not sure if you've taken the ACT but you might want to give that a shot.

check his stats profile it has all his info .. but Cornell doesn't look at writing so it would be out of 1600 anyway. i guess it goes to show that SATs aren't everything! haha

^ Lol, sorry, I'm not used to clicking everybody's names and going through their Stats. :p JK.

Wow, 8dbordel, you're awesome! I love your Stats because they're just so average (sorry if this is rude) and you got into Cornell!!! That means there's hope for me. ^_^

Just wondering, are you like white ... what's your ethnicity? (Again, no offense).
