1990 vs 2000

I believe there is a difference "greater" than 10, but most people say that colleges think it's the same. True? I really hope so because i got a 1990.

Lol yeah I got 2190. Those 10 extra points…

Luckily last time I took the SAT I was on the better side of your situation (got 2000). Realistically it makes little difference, but psychologically I’d feel so much better with the 10 extra points…

Colleges don’t add your score. They just see the scores on the individual sections.

Thank you Sci-Fry. It bothers ME so much but what would ADMISSION people say about it? @ahsanxr I have no idea what your talking about but thx.

What ahsanxr means is that colleges won’t look at your total score and judge you on that - they’ll see the individual scores that you got on each section.

Oh thank you both. However, im not sure if that’s a good thing for me lol. My highest scores M - 740, CR - 620, W - 630. Are these decent enough for a low level Ivy or honors programs for non-ivies with good ECs and other academic requirements? Thank you guys!

Yea I have the same problem. Got a 2190 in October which is way better than my goal of 2100 but it pains me to not have those last 10 points for a 2200

@NiklasK see for you I personally believe there’s no difference. I would say everyone counts 2190 and 2200 as the same, but for me its the difference between a 1990 and breaking 2000. But then again under what i have just said 1990 and 2000 would be the same. Ahh i really don’t know. Thanks for your input everyone and good luck with your college choices and stuff. More opinions would be nice. thx again
