I scored a 2080 on my first SAT: 680 W, 760 M, 640 CR.
I took it three months later and scored a 2250: 730 W, 790 M, 730 CR.

Will my first score affect my chances of getting in to schools that consider all scores (i.e. Stanford) or will they like the fact that I demonstrated improvement in all three sections?

I scored 800 on math ii and chemistry on my first time so not concerned about my subject tests..
Thank you for helping!

Most schools will only look at your highest section scores. Therefore, any previous lower scorews will not detriment you at all. Even if they ask you to send both, don’t worry; the schools who do that generally want to see your highest scores in one sitting, but since both your total and section scores are highest on hte 2nd test, there should be no problem whatsoever. Good job with the 2250.

I think this would be the stance that the admissions officers take. Now, if your scores dropped across the board the second time around, you’d be in some hot water.
