So my report card came today. Far from spectacular, 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, but one of my grades was entered wrong so its roughly a 3.5. However grades were already sent out to West Point. Does anyone know if the unfixed grades are low enough to lose my appointment?

No way. Only a few delta's and foxtrot's would do that.

Would 1 delta do it?

A D or F will deffinately cause some problems. Im not sure about high school but college grades you have to get C or better (they dont explain what happens if you dont, just warning us).

The only class that i am a little nervous about that happening in is AP calculus. I'm tryin my hardest to keep it up as high as i can, but it just gets hard in the second semester. I wonder if them knowing I will be taking the class for a second time at USMA would give me a little bit of leniency towards it?

lc06,

At West Point you'll be able (encouraged) to have additional instruction (AI) for any course in which you're having difficulty. Math is a subject where you need to master the material before moving on to a higher level of the material. If you suspect that calc is giving you trouble in high school, I encourage you to seek out help. Teachers, tutors at school, private tutors, or just pick up the book and start at Chapter 1 and work your way through to where you should be. If you start now, you'll be in good shape for finals. And you'll be surprised how easy some of the prior material will seem now.

My son had a grade that was entered wrong also. His counselor sent the semester grades in and then sent a correction after it was changed. I would suggest you do that as soon as possible -- for your own piece of mind.

make that "peace" of mind....

Yea i'm planning on it...I just found out they decided not to weight grades this semester as part of their new software or something so pretty much everyones grade point average is a bit lower.
