2.5 for V Tech, too low?

Since they have their deadlines in feb for transfer, I wouldn't be able to lean on the upcoming spring semester to bump my gpa up to the 3.0 I want.

My "GOAL" is to get into the engineering school, but if I have to take some extra classes their to bump my stats and take classes during the summer so I can graduate on time, fine.

I'm in state btw.

seems like you answered ur own question.

Well I just checked again, and it says they wait for you to send in your spring semester grades before they make a decision.

Why? If you go to a CC in Virginia you had to chance to go to UVA, William and Mary, and JMU. You had the change to go to any of those schools, you have no change at VA Tech with a 2.5, unless you know someone. You might be able to go to VCU I think you only need a 2.0.

GPA currently too low to transfer to VT.

Like I said, just checked again, and they wait for your spring semester grades to come in before making a decision apparently, and by then, I'll have at least a 3.0

GPA is to low to get into VT.

Just so I can clarify. Are you guys coming in saying too low with the 3.0 I said I would have, or the 2.5? I only said 2.5 because I was under the impression that I wouldn't be able to get the spring semester grades in for them to look at, but like I said, I can, and they will see my improved gpa, which will be at least a 3.0, and I'm planning on taking classes during the summer as well, so.

i know one engineering transfer here and he had around a 3.2. getting into engineering school is very difficult for current students and more difficult for transfer students. if i were you i would apply for their university studies program or liberal arts and human sciences major then attempt to switch into engineering later on. a 3.0 might get you into engineering but its about a 50% chance and a 2.5 is even less.
