I have a 2.6 gpa, i need to go to UC SD. i did TAG there and they declined it. will my app get accepted?? anywhere else too? i applied to wisconsin university too!! help me

I think you have a pretty good chance at getting in, I was a transfer from santa monica college, said hell why not and applied with 1.6 as a transfer. Got the acceptance letter last year. I hope to see you there

im afarid your out of luck. Their cut off is 3.2 if you don’t have TAG. =/

@uctag007:

Sorry, there’s no chance you’ll get into UCSD with a 2.6. The cutoff last year, as twistnswif said, was a 3.2 and isn’t going down this year. If anything, it’ll go up.

@ OP

I hear Fullerton JC is taking applicants. You’ll do great there (LOL)

I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe you got in with a 1.6. Isn’t that grounds for academic probation?

^ they take a very VERY small percentage of students with < 3.0 you probably need some amazing story to get in. What people don’t realize is that getting in doesn’t matter. If you get accepted with a 2.6, chances are you won’t survive any major you take.

I thought the UC-minimum for transfer students was a 2.4? I don’t see how anyone would get in with a 1.6. That’s a D average.

2.6 for ucsd very slim considering the cutoff is 3.0+

Where else have you applied? Maybe spend another year at CC upping your gpa?

Haha not even slim. 2.6 at UCSD is not going to happen. I had a 3.03 and didn’t get in last year. Hard cutoff for non-TAGgers was a 3.2. It’s not going down this year.
