Hello, I current have a 2.7 GPA in Chemical Engineering at UW-Madision, expecting to graduate next year. Is there any hope for me to get into industry in the Chemical Engineering field?
EDIT: I am an international student in need of a work Visa as well.
You know the answer to this already.
Most fields of engineering are looking for GPAs North of 3.0 and sometimes quite a bit north.
For a work visa, you have to have skill set that can’t be found in a person already in the US. A GPA of 2.7 isn’t showing much.
You’ve had 3 years to figure out the rules to the employment game.
