  1. Does anyone know how many people typically apply to the Community Service Scholarship? I know 15 are awarded but I want to see how much of a chance I have haha
  2. Is the Paterson dorm at Tulane a drug/alcohol-free dorm? I like it because I'm a vegetarian and love yoga, but I don't really care about pledging to be drug/alcohol-free and I feel like maybe I'd be out of place because of this..

  1. I have never been informed of what a typical number of applicants is. I have never seen it written anywhere either. Sorry, just no idea.
  2. All dorms at Tulane are drug and alcohol free, by school rules. Paterson has no special rules about it. I can tell you Tulane takes violations of this rule very seriously and suspension for alcohol in the dorm and arrest/expulsion for drugs is not out of the question. And as they will tell you at Orientation, drugs means jail, and that is not Tulane jail. Real NOPD jail. Now I am not saying a first offense of either of these will result in the maximum punishment, although with drugs especially the particulars would matter. But as I say, they do take violations of these policies quite seriously.
