CAN I HANG OUT with some of you guys when school starts....i dont want to feel alone lol

Still no word. I've been waiting for 60+ days. I think it was my D in AP Calc (with reasonable explanation) that may have slowed down the process. Aside from that, my grades went up and this semester I've got close to a 4.0... so I'm hoping for the best. It's funny that I was the second poster on this topic and thought I'd be hearing January 15th...

wing2871x , I am in the same boat as you. I applied November 1st and have hardly heard from them since besides the activation for the webadvisor. they did not, however, request my 7th semester grades, donno if thats good or bad, I do know I'm getting pretty frustrated and anxious, as I know you probably are. Let me know when you hear something.

well nyu tisch just took me into their screenwriting.... waiting on chapman still

is anyone else getting emails from Office of the VP & Dean of Students to participate in random events?

^ Nope. But I'd consider that a good thing.

I haven't received anything from them except for that package saying they got my application (which they sent to me really really late).

my son has been getting the email invitations too.

haha one of the last ones was a free dinner in exchange for an proper etiquite lesson...

wing, have you checked your WebAdvisor lately?

like five times a day for the past 70 days

I looked at web advisor this morning and under admission status it said file complete, decision pending 2/5/07. But I looked right now and it said PADG under admission decision as of 3/20/07. Does anyone know what that means?

admissions counselor told me all decisions should be finalized by the 1st... i dunno if any go out before then

Did you all apply online or by mail?

i applied online 11.24

tresfleur

these Chapman invite e-mails have been coming on the Chapman e-mail service, not on the regular e-mail. So that's why some of you may not be seeing them (assuming you're not checking the Chapman emails).

Also they are surely being sent to every @chapman.edu email address, so I think that getting them is normal. Not a good or bad sign.

That's just my opinion. I may be wrong.

About the webadvisor,
I called Chapman today and they told me that the webadvisor is updated daily. I was worried that they didn't update it that often, and I could have gotten a decision and not know about it. On the other hand, I've heard that for the admission status, it may not be updated that often... So I'll keep checking it 10 times a day and calling them every so often.

Brittnish

Seems like you've moved ahead in the admission process... To me, that reads like they're either actively evaluating your file, or that they've done it and are in the process of some sort of post-evaluation decision.
Good luck!

By the way, I'm a transfer applicant for film production, undergrad. I completed my application in February (transfer deadline is March 1st). My webadvisor thingy still shows "decision pending".

...hoping like crazy to get in.... can barely sleep... or use pronouns...

brittnish--if you haven't already found out what "PADG" means, I suggest calling the Admissions Office and asking them. They expect to get questions like this--that's what they're there for--and they're really nice people.

yes, and post what you find out in here so we get in the know as well. :)

Chapman sent me this e-mail response...

PADG means that your application is still pending decision at this
time.

Chapman University

thanks, dude.

isn't this wait the worst? I mean, every time I log into web-advisor, and click on admission status, my heart rate goes up and I cringe when the screen changes.

I've got safeties if I don't get into Chapman... and I can always transfer in a year (I'm sure I'll have the academics for it).... but I want this so much....

sorry... had to vent a bit :)

admission approved for screenwriting as of 03/26/07... thats NYU and Chapman and now im just waiting on LMU and USC for film SW schools
