How important is attending orientation week?
I have to go to texas from August 27-29, so would I be missing much?</p>

<p>If you're living in the dorms it looks like there are a couple of required meetings. As a parent I would personally have a hard time letting my child miss orientation week. It's a great opportunity to start to make friends and get to know the campus. I know years ago it was the week I met the friends I still have from my IU days. I hope someone that is a student or a parent of a current student can answer your question from more recent experience.</p>
