If there's a national reception, then I hope we can all go ^^ I'll be excited to meet you all! (totally not being presumptious)

...Now if there isn't, you guys better let me read your work sometime during the summer!! I'm so inspired by peer writers--they all have amazingly fresh ideas.

lol for the teacher information on the art portfolio forms online, I put the wrong email address... and now it won't let me change it. Do you think it'd be ok if I just white-outed it on the printed forms and put the correct one?

Did anybody just notice how Scholastic changed the word limit for short, short story? Before it was 3000 words like "Short Story," but now it's 1300? Wha--? o_O Lol, it's like, way to tell us after the deadline! I submitted a short, short story that's def. over the new word limit, so let's just see how that goes ^^;

I emailed them requesting my entry to be put into the short story category due to word limit, but I imagine they have plenty of people in our situation. I also edited it on the online registration but I don't know how much that matters.

I know!! >_>; Anyway, they told me to email my regional affiliate (well, I'm region-at-large sooo....) and that they didn't think it'll be a big deal.

Does anyone know if I can submit two completely separate submissions.. like one of digital photography and then a separate one of apparel design? thanks so much

Judging by last year's thread, this one is going to get very crazy very quickly if results are already coming in. If you've been notified about something, could you tell us your category and region, please? Otherwise, many people are going to freak out...

They definitely don't come in at the same time. Some people (I'm pretty sure they were in writing region-at-large) didn't find out until late APRIL! Unfortunately, it was never really clear how they organized the results. Most of the early notifications went out to people in the art categories whose regions sponsored local contests. Generally, people in the same general category (art/writing) and same region found out at the same time.
