2008 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards!

^ i think it's january 11th or 8th; one of those.

what if you don't have the photography subject identification/consent form? (what if it was a photo of a stranger on the street..?) am i screwed?

papercrane: You may want to email them for a question that specific.

if i'm entering in fashion, should i just take pics of the front and back on a black background???

wait...so we can FOR SURE turn in just five bucks for all our entries put together?

hamsi: I'm not positive about that. Email Scholastic if you're worried.

How are you guys sending your entries? Apparently, I (in MA) can't mail them and have to talk to my teacher about it. But I'm not even sure if my teacher is even aware of this program!

@hamsi: I'm almost positive it's $5 PER entry.

Region-at-Large deadline is January 7. I'M DONEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

My regular teacher is on maternity leave. Whose signature should I get? I already emailed Scholastic, but no reply yet.

yeah i emailed them. it's $5 per entry.

I think I'll get my guidance counselor's signature and attach a little note... And they're going to like it.

Okay? Okay. Okay.

snoopy....I say okay. because I think that's what I'm going to do because I don't have an art teacher......art didnt fit into my schedule after freshman year, so I just take classes outside of school.

Jesus. My gc went awol. Oh well. I got my sub's signature. Good enough.

ok silly question here..
can the post office/post office workers postmark the submission packet on the very day it/they receive the material?

^I think that's what they usually do...

wait...so what exactly do we send in?
i'm doing short short story.
so i send in one copy of that and one copy of the registration form with signatures?

I think you need two signed registration forms.

and that's it? is there a certain envelope size we need? and does the essay need to be formatted a particular way?

and wait...for region-at-large, is there a specific address?
