2008 "Transfer option " applicants

I sent the adcom I know an e-mail asking what exactly this means. Just list your name or pm me and I'll pm you the official word on what exactly this is. Hopefully, it is indeed a guaranteed transfer!

Dont forget me.

i really hope it is too, but i have searched all over and cnt find a single reject to ILR and CALS (however ppl that r rejected are less likely to post their rejection)

Put a comma after my name then put urs so gtantortue can just copy and paste our names into the message thingy instead of typin them one by one.

sammy2, plzaccept1989

thx plzaccept. And I dont want to name any names, but look in your thread. Someone was rejected from some primary school, and CALS.

sammy2, plzaccept1989, matty169

I got one too....seriously hoping it is what I think it is,

Thanks! I'm kind of disappointed but after getting wiatlisted at Vanderbilt, UVA, and Harvard it was good to get in somewhere .... almost. Let's hope it is a guaranteed transfer!

sammy2, plzaccept1989, ItalianStallion9

wow same time I'll add you matty.

sammy2, plzaccept1989, matty169, ItalianStallion9

I feel like this has to be a GT. There's no way that they'd say it to only some of us. At least, I hope. I told EVERYONE I got into Cornell with a GT. Imagine how embaressing it would be to have to take that back.

grantorue---who? I did not see anyone (tell me thread title and page # plz)

my friend and I both applied to CALS...I got the transfer option and he did not. I also applied ED (deferred) and showed an incredible amount of interest in Cornell, maybe that was why?

Well I think that settles it. I got deferred ED as well and sent a very enthusiastic letter and two more rec's after deferral, and got the transfer option. Now I just have to hope its a one-year transfer, and not a two.

And post #10 on this thread

Looks like there are no CALS applicants posting their stats. I looked through the whole darn thread.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/483563-official-cornell-2012-decisions-thread-9.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/483563-official-cornell-2012-decisions-thread-9.html</a></p>

Post #134 seems to be CALS bio, but could be another college.

I also got the transfer option. I applied to ILR primary and CALS for Communication as my alternate college. I'm thinking that my transfer option is probably for ILR, but then again I don't know. I applied ED and was deferred.
