yeah UCSD and UCLA are my targets. I applied to Cal as a hail mary this year because I have the reqs for bus. admin. but I won’t have the reqs for UCLA or UCSD till next year. The UCLA campus is freaking amazing and San Diego is my favorite SoCal city so far, so either way I’d be happy. What major are you pursuing?

I’m currently finishing up my second year at Sacramento City College. Left my job as an Account Executive for Countrywide when secondary credit markets froze for Mortgage Backed Securities. I knew the **** was about to hit the fan and the easy money of the previous three years in the real estate market was going to come to an abrupt stop. When heading into a severe economical downturn, educate yourself! this was a perfect time to use my GI Bill =)

When I resigned in August of 2007, I started school the following Monday with the desire to transfer to Haas at UCB. I have my fingers crossed while I await their decision. I will have all pre-reqs completed and breath requirements done by the end of this semester (3.87 GPA), which puts me at about a 25% shot of getting in. Hopefully I’ll see you there USMC IZZY!

Econ would be my second choice for a major, but I dont have all the math pre-reqs done and waiting another year to transfer would feel like a big fat waste of time.

I’ve been accepted to UCD, UCI, and UCSD for Political Science (missing pre-reqs for all of them). I’m still waiting for UCLA and UCB to give me some good news.

Finishing up my AA at Olympic College (WA); returned to school after my DoD contractor gig came to an end, was unemployed for several months, and realized that I had no marketable skills in this economy. Plus I hated my previous field so going back to school is a good thing for me.
I have a real interest in Anthropology and Food Studies and will be applying to several school (CAL, UW, IU-Bloomington, BU, and NYU ) once I return from my mobilization in April 2011.
