^ nothing officially (i haven’t even received my acceptance packet in the mail yet), but i was curious, so i had my PIN emailed to my nyuhome email address and checked online that way. i’m not sure if that’s considered unscrupulous but…whatever. heh.

So I’m able to get a NetID, but I can’t set a password, I always get an error for some reason, it’s probably the system.

hiii all
has anyone heard from CAS lately? is it a bad sign i have heard absolutely nothing…?

i haven’t heard anything from CAS either, and i tried to get a netid but that didn’t work. oh well.

w.e. im at a usnews much higher ranked school than nyu.

most people I know from CAS also haven’t heard anything… i’m in the same boat you guys are

@2good2btrue Why would you apply to transfer out of a college you are happy at? Even more, why bother applying to a school that is ranked lower than yours according to usnews? We all know that usnews’ rankings are the most accurate.

i still don’t understand this obsession with us news report rankings. . .after you’ve selected what colleges you are applying to, do the undergrad rankings REALLY matter?

obviously they matter for the professional schools and grad schools. however, it’s not like people have them memorized or whip out the rankings at job interviews.

i’m not necessarily “happy” with the school i’m in now. tho the academics are prolly stronger here, i really wanted to go to nyu for just about every other reason… being much closer to home, being in a big city, experiencing new things, etc.

and i wouldn’t say i’m obsessed with the ranks… i just brought up the point of being at a higher USNEWS ranked school to help me reduce the cognitive dissonance i have from trying to be happy/looking on the bright side about something i’m upset about (possibility of me being rejected)

oops, i didn’t mean to imply that YOU were obsessed, 2good. i was just saying in general. my mistake.

Ok, I don’t live anymore at my mailing address so getting my mail from there is pretty much impossible, so I tried getting my netID. If I get an email address and can look at Albert/etc; that pretty much means I’m in, right?

I was being sarcastic about the usnews thing, rankings are meaningless especially when colleges all have their own strengths and special attributes.

Accepted at CAS! (found out today)

esmrld-congrats!

esmrld care sharing any stats?

To those who were asked to send in midterm grades, are you still waiting? or were you accepted/rejected?

I was asked to send mine by April 20th and still didn’t get a answer. I had 5 A’s.
ahhh…

I wasn’t asked but I sent them in also with five A’s including two in my major and i still haven’t heard. I called yesterday and they said I was still under review

accepted…
