2009 Fall Transfer To NYU

sorry, I was under the impression that some of these people had been admitted. Is the thread like the one nyujosh was speaking of?

try the spring '09 transfer thread, a bunch of them have been accepted and would be more than willing to help.

sure i'd be happy to ask! she might not know though, since she teaches in CAS. And yes, the 65% was the projected rate for TRANSFERS ONLY. best news ever right? hope it calms some of your nerves down. and since im leaving, thats one more spot for one of you to fill! =]

ps yeah i was one of the ones who just hated NYU. there is no middle ground at nyu: you either love it or hate it. the city is simply not for me at all, but make no mistake, some people absolutely love nyu. i certainly hope you guys do if you get in!

Hi guys, I thought I'd share this info: A week ago I attended an I.S. for transfer students and I asked the addmission rep when we will get an answer and I she tolled me July.
Another interesting piece of information they shared is that for transfer applicants to the Stern school they would like to see SAT scores if the test was taken, regardless of the number of credits you completed in HS. She said that if you took the test more then once, they will only look at the highest score.

Good luck to everyone

NYUjosh-its usually late april-early may when we get decisions. Its going to be here before we know it. lol

sorry people, you are right, I will create a new thread then. By the way, I wish the best of lucks to everyone applying to NYU!

haha yes! this thread is starting to pick up again.

First page ppl.

anyone write their essays yet? what did you write about/how long is it

i wrote mine. it was about how i wanted to go to gallatin and what i didnt like about my old school. Mine is about 600 words.

ohh nice! what do you plan on studying at gallatin?

I want to do something with communications. How about you? what college are you applying to?

Best of luck to all, I'm applying to Gallatin as well.

wow, may 1st seems so long away. how are supposed to deal with this wait? lol

Pray! lol!!!

hahaha i dont think I can pray for a whole 4 months! any other suggestions?

Dont think about it. Thats the only thing I know to do.

yeah good call. I'll definitely try my best not to think about it. It's pretty strange not knowing what college I'm going to be at for the next couple years, so I'm hoping that they send out decisions in april instead of may.

i'm doing tisch or gallatin. anyone mind sharing stats? :]
