I just took the AIME 2, but I cant talk about it right now because Americans are taking it like half a day after us. Unfortunately its again harder than the AIME 1 (like last year) and less brute-forcible than this years AIME 1, but I think MAA probably wont give separate USAMO index for AIME 1 and 2 :(. I checked my answer with a guy who represented his country at IMO last year. I got a 10 with 2 stupid mistakes. I really hope I make the USAMO. The official results are coming out around April 8th maybe? But if you guys lost the patience feel free to send me the answers, I will send you the score after I check it with my friends answer key. Hope we all make it to the USAMO! :)

you are not allowed to discuss even the difficulty.

sorrry. Let’s don’t talk then.

I got the first 13, then my lack of geometry skills kicked in. I’d say marginally harder than I, but still very doable.

note to self: normal people interpret “I raped AIME” completely differently.

edit: wait, how did you take it yesterday? Isn’t that against regulations?

u can take it earlier

bestswimmer is from canada, and their time’s diff than the states
i too took it a day early due to schedule conflcits
my teacher/proctor got permission from maa however
:]

and i actually found this test to be slightly easier than the first, although i didn’t even get to 13-15

hm, on I I could set everything up, just couldn’t finish the stewarts bash on 15. I forgot I could pull out the rational roots theorem, as usually it’s so useless for contests.

stop messaging me to compare answers, my test booklet and scratch paper was confiscated until tomorrow.

is it just me or are the number of posts significantly less than the one for AIME 1?

btw if anyone wants to compare answers, PM me

Well, the AIME II was only administered yesterday, and discussion of the 2010 AIME II is still banned (at least according to the AoPS forums).

But, as a partial explanation, more people take the AIME I than the AIME II. I think this holds over all years; I took the AIME I (the AIME II would have been administered during my spring break).
