I know an alum who got off the waitlist at Davidson by being close to obnoxious and writing multiple letters/calling the dean of admissions. Keep trying–I told them I’m not going last week, so there’s another possible spot for you. Good luck!

ha thanks, lullinatalk! Hopefully I’ve achieved a good balance between obnoxious and persistent but I could still probably use a lot of luck right about now =/

Anyone know someone who was contacted today?

The poster who was called from the University of Michigan wait list was specifically piano performance, School of M,T & D.

Any news from Emerson College in the great city of Bah-sten?

For Chicago, around 3447 applicants were accepted. From last year’s estimate, a yield of 38.5% means that there are approximately 173 seats available. If that number went up significantly, or even to just 45%, that would mean that there would be absolutely no spots for waitlisted applicants. Not to weaken anyone’s hopes, but the odds are not looking so good.

re:Elon, all I know is that my son’s classmate received a call from Elon last week, and was accepted off the waitlist. She ended up not taking the spot.

Someone with a 1 post count on Chicago forum says s/he was accepted yesterday. Can’t tell if ■■■■■■■■.

Adding Trinity! My friend’s D just got “the call”!

Uchicago said that they are having difficulty with moving onto the waiting list due to the high number of applicants already depositing…but… they also noted that there is still chance but it will be delayed…(last year they started to call on April 28th)
But who knows they already called to number one priority applicant

yankee: Elon waitlist call MAY have been MT (musical theatre); handled differently than regular admissions

Rodney…thanks for responding…My D is a MT girl so I happen to know those calls were done longgggg ago. But, she fell in love with Elon so the waiting is killing us…especially since her twin has been signed, sealed and done for a while. Thanks for your kind thoughts though.

^^isn’t there a waitlist for MT though that is separate from the general admission waitlist?

PM me if you want to chat; D is enrolled for fall…

Would love to chat but…I’m a novice…what does PM mean…
