2011 RSI Discussion

Ah yes BASIS, do you know Andrew Tsai? He used to go there; but there are multiple BASISes, and I’m not sure which one he went to. Unless you ARE Andrew. :open_mouth: lol.

I go to ASU a lot too! Do you do research there?

You should tell RSI that sefhuigbjdfgsdfnjkewthuifenjksdfnjk is a code and that if they can’t break it, they have to accept you. :P

@Swingline, other posters have said they use that to match mentors to you. So my take was that if they didn’t have a mentor in my field, they’d go find one/force me to do some other field.

@Frasirfir, yes. You include an unofficial, School sends an official…

any advice still on my original sat II question?

To everyone: Just try to put everything you can into the one big envelope. Try to make it as official as possible. Those are the two most important things. If you can get your guidance counselor to sign your official forms, then great. If you can seal them, that’s great. What’s unacceptable is printing your grades off the internet or typing them up yourself or something like that. It’s not a hugeeee deal

@Swingline
It’ll be fine. Worst case scenario, before you get to RSI, they put you into a different category because they can’t find a mentor for you, but your field choice won’t have any effect on your admission decision. As long as it’s related to science, and as long as you back it up.

@paronomasia: Hahaha, Tsai? I know him, he’s my Brawl buddy on the occasional weekend. He’s a pretty close friend of mine, but he left BASIS because of a couple technical difficulties with the administration. I’m Korean, so I’m definitely not Andrew. :3 How do you know him? And mm, I don’t do research at ASU, actually. I wish, but when I applied last year, they kept telling me I was too young, and I eventually decided to wait until this summer. If I don’t get into RSI, I’ll probably end up at ASU this summer.

@NotSoProdigious: To clarify, I’m his Super Smash Bros. Brawl buddy. To more important matters, if you’re still in contact with Mr. Stratton, he may be able to help you get into some research at ASU.

@paronomasia: how do you know me o.o?

Should I put down my cell phone number? I can not use cell phone in school.

ahh guys i need help!
