2011 SAT March: Writing

why didn’t due to it separating work better? also is “primarily concerns the (disadvantages)”…can you use that verb like that? it was in a question with a write chi something and a book

Wait, what was the Pluto one??

wait was the answer to the need of question

What is the consensus on the madagascar question? Was it A?

Why didn’t the plant one have to be to deter … And TO relieve …?

the pluto one was about scientists and the dwarf planet classification of pluto. it was the very first question. it was between “,pluto, and its” and like “has something something”

“Why didn’t the plant one have to be to deter … And TO relieve …?”

@Sk1993 –> See my explanation on page 12

Oh, okay. I’m hoping since I don’t remember it, it was an easy one.

can someone plleeeassse answer my post 241

What was the one with the colon? i forgot the question…

Yeah i think i wasn’t sure about one question. I had it down to phenomenon: sand and phenomenon, sand and i believe i chose the first one.

did you guys get colons for any of the answers

Thanks. I went back and forth between no error and that. So what essay score would it take for a 800 with -1 mc?

I got a colon for the one about sands blowing from Africa, if I remember correctly…

do you remember the options for the colon question?

For the organic plants one, I though “than do” was an error.

The sentence was something like ‘Organic plants must produce more stuff than do other plants’

I thought it was than do, because shouldn’t the sentence say ‘Organic plants must produce more stuff than must other plants’

was the sand one #11

@AlaskanDebater If you rearrange it, it would say “Organic plants must produce more than other plants do,” which makes sense.

was the sand one #11?

i somehow squeezed Napoleon in as an example for the reality television one. I talked about how reality entertainment promoted learning from example and that it was beneficial because of this. I then used modern television shows as an example (biggest loser) and then argued that historically learning from the examples of others has led to success (i.e. Napoleon learning battle techniques and governing techniques from the Greeks and also from Alexander the Great) would this be considered off-topic?
