2011 SAT March: Writing

anyone want to respond to pluto question on previous page?

Anyone thing 11 essay 4 wrong could be 750? 11 and 3 wrong?

@lockclock i totally think its possible, actually i think thats a realistic score for how much you got wrong and the essay score you think you received so GOOD JOB :D

I got 4 wrong with an 11 Essay on the January test and got a 730… so no.

@cocobi, i think for the cars the sentence was like “Although you did all the research, buying new cars still has problems” or something like that.

does no one really remember?

@annoying, that one was pretty easy, “In what scientists called…pluto was discovered to be…” cant really remember, but it should be easy since it appeared early in that section. I read on the blue book that writing goes from easy to hard.

i can’t remember. i hope i put that. already with a -1 in W and i dont want a-2. it might kill a potential 800.

Just want some genuine input on my friggin essay. I wrote about King’s Speech and made it seem like a reality movie (Ok i know its more of a documentary), but I talked about how it exaggerated the truth about the king and the therapist so its not authentic (thus "so-called reality entertainment), but it taught us perseverance and other touchy bs. Please tell me im good (for real).

^ hahaha thats what i did…im pretty sure its fine lol

does anybody have a final list? i’m sorry if it’s been posted already…but I can’t seem to find it (if there is one)

@aaannie No, there hasn’t been one made

Oh also, does anybody remember a question in the first section of writing (it was a choose how to make this sentence better question) and the sentence would not have made any sense unless the choice was in passive voice? Because it was a phrase, and then the phrase had to describe the person(thing) doing the action…

Sorry for vagueness…if anybody has any idea/remembers anything, thanks!

How lenient do you think the graders will be?
What if some people have never been exposed to reality entertainment? What if people don’t have televisions?

Hmph. Does anyone remember error IDs 27 and 29. They involve Lawrence of Arabia and antioxidant plants.

Both essay prompts were a bit…abstract. I think we’ll have lenient graders.

Sent from my iPhone using CC

Both were no error Stevenf.

Actually, i think the proper idiom was support “among” employees, because it’s more than just two. But i’m not exactly sure…

Yeah “among” is right in the situation in the test

w0000000t

Looking at the 8hundo

lets go!
