2011 SAT March: Writing

yeah i don’t recall this pluto one?!?? ANYONE??

and also, tehre was one in improving paragraphs… i said it was like based on personal experience blah blah to connect the paragraphs?

Thank you sooooo much Parhaitiy that just made my day

the pluto one was the very first question in a section
it was really easy…so I dont really remember

wow. i feel like an idiot, i meant to say i got no “no errors” until almost the end of the section. did anyone else get the same?

me too I only got one no error for the Lawrence one?

people got 2 no errors because they also had an error for the organic plant…

no wait…am I mixing the sections up? am I talking about the right section?

For those of you that had the writing experimental section, do you know if the e-books one came second or is it different for everyone

What did you guys get as the answer to the p=(100p) math question? something about how p is a prime number and p* is the sum of p’s prime factors? i got None.

And this might be experimental math, but the question with the four squares with side lengths of 4, 3, 2, and 1. What was the minimum perimeter if you put the squares together? I got 24. Anyone get the same??

I believe it came second for me. Not that it matters, but did anyone else think the Writing experimental was very difficult?

@sister i said no error for the plant one and the Lawrence one

Does anyone remember if “were performing” was an error?

Ok so if you had the experimental section do you remember if you had a question along the lines of making a clear company website. I think i got wrecked on that section so i want to make sure that it is experimental

Did anyone here get the D-Day one for improving paragraphs?? I think I got a perfect on that one but I accidentally started the writing portion (the essay, that is) on the second page and continued on the first page how much do you think they’ll take off for that???

What did everyone get for the improving paragraphs questions?

im still concerned about the pluto one…
it had to do with scientists discovering that it is a dwarf a planet.
i picked the choice which was like “,pluto, and its blah blah blah”

What is the answer to the pluto question?

i said that reality tv shows are good because they promote social gatherings, are a form of stress relief, and motivate viewers to partake in physical activity. i made up some crap statistics about how “a study at harvard university showed that 82% use TV as a form of stress relief” and “a survey showed that those who watched reality tv programs showed a 61% increase in weight loss”

hahaha yay for a 5!!!

^ loll, you made up statistics?! That’s funny. 61% increase in weight loss? That doesn’t even sound accurate. lol

For improving the car paragraph I remember adding the new sentence after the first passage, or somewhere in there.

I got 26… I tried it a few different ways and kept getting 26. how did you get 24? @hiya

supergrover, i put the sentence after the first sentence of the second paragraph. anyone know if that’s right?

Was there a question where “not even dreamt of” was an answer or was that in the experimental?
