2011 SAT March: Writing

Anyone remember putting “____________; later…”

What was the pluto answer? It was like
Hailed by scientists as the first time science won over sentimentality, pluto, and its classification was a dwarf planet.

did u guys put fortunately … for the last question on the improving paragraphs section

i think it was “which he later created from memory” i had it between those two

i put, to ____ and to recover for the plants… IT HAS TO BE PARALLEL!!!

i think the answer for the pluto one had has been

Yess… I might have only gotten one wrong on the writing

what’ll the curve be? let’s say you get… an 11 essay and minus 1?

That would probably be an 800 seeing as some people seem to think the Essay prompt was difficult.

What the hell was the pluto one? Wasn’t that the 1st question of the section?

yeah i don’t recall this pluto one?!?? ANYONE??

and also, tehre was one in improving paragraphs… i said it was like based on personal experience blah blah to connect the paragraphs?

and also what about the meats and desserts, that family blah blah? right?

^Remember the meats and desserts, the correction was “that would be eaten for special occasions”

pluto one was not experimentall… was one answer ____:sand…

for pluto i put that answer that like blah blah blah ,pluto, and its
the other seemingly correct answer did not fit correctly tense wise. like the word “was” was necessary because the scientists discovered the idea in the past and the sentence was talking in a past tense mood.

Does anyone remember if “were performing” was an error? If not, what was the error in the sentence? Was that the same error with “during the war” with the error “its”? I didn’t think “its” was an error because it was referring to the war…

Yes, I recall an answer that had :sand

Anyone remember the Ice cream maker one?

yeah the icecream maker one I put choice A I believe? just wut the sentence had

for the organic plant one I put “to deter and to ____” as the correction cuz I thought it had to be parallel, but oh well

yeah I was shocked when I saw the essay prompt. I was like *** I thought they always asked about heroes and should people speak the truth and stuff
so I have quite a few questions

For the Waiting for Godot one,
was it “in French, not, as many might assume, in English.” ?

and then Tony Blair, then prime minister blah blah…met with XXX to discuss the changes that had occurred since 19XX election"
did you guys choose “had occurred”
I thought it should be “were occurring”…ugh
or is this the experimental section?

could someone please clarify which one’s the experimental section?
THANK YOU SO MUCH

i don’t watch tv. i had no clue what i was talking about. ****, last time i got 12 essay, this time probably a f8cking 8

^your bottom ones are experimental sister. ALSO, DID NO ONE GET THE ANSWER WITH THAT IN IT FOR THE SAND PHENOMENON QUESTION? fock.

no plants is def parallelism error. also what was the exact sentence of the meat and dessertts?
