2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

@cherryvaseline: You could make your own UCLA email account but wasn’t able to log into myucla? that’s weird… I could make my own UCLA email account and I’m able to log into myucla…? I think making an UCLA email account is a good indicative though… I just can’t wait anymore…

I think it kicks you out of MyUCLA unless you are a summer sessions student.

As I said earlier, I don’t think that making a UCLA email is indicative of anything. I was able to make one back in early February, long before they started looking at transfer applications.

@Taylor: I got those new updates on My URSA. As soon as I logged into My URSA, I was able to create an email address ending with “ucla.edu” so I made one and they required me to provide emergency contact list. I can also make a bruincard and am able to log into My UCLA as well.

Someone else should go onto the URSA site click on the tab “View myHousing.” From there click on the tab “Undergraduate Housing Application.” Next click the tab “Apply Online Now”, sort of in the top right. Finally click “single undergraduate student” and see if you get the same message regarding UCLA not knowing your enrollment status.

I got “We’re unsure of your enrollment status…”

@transferca: but it said that “Since you’re a UCLA student, you’re entitled to create a UCLA email account, blah blah” HMMM… Yeah, it might be too early to get too excited just because I can make an email account ):

@gamblin69

I get the “we don’t know your enrollment status” message.

@gamblin69

I get that same message as well.

@gamblin69

Yup, same message.

Where did you go to create the email address? I can’t find it anywhere on URSA and the UCLA login throws me out…

I also got “We’re unsure of your enrollment status”. What does it mean?

Haha hopefully that mean we’re all getting accepted! However, it probably means that just a blanket message for everyone :(

@berkeleyphil:
Mine said the same thing back in February. I had a conniption fit of excitement. But my skepticism has grown over the past two months.
Who knows? Maybe it does mean something. I was invited to apply for the Regents back in January, so maybe I was already accepted back then and that’s why I could do it so much earlier.
I submitted all my materials for the scholarship from my @ucla.edu email, just to be funny.

@ deanzatransfer

People have said that the screen appears automatically when you log into URSA. They didn’t click anything.

@deanzatransfer: I didn’t have to click anything to make an UCLA email account. It just let me make it as soon as I logged into My URSA (it automatically transferred to the page where I can make their email address).

@gamblin69

I get that same message as well.

I’m able to login to URSA but it automatically logs me out every time I try to sign into myUCLA. I’m getting the same message about the browser :confused:

I didn’t apply for FA but I’m going to check out the housing thing. This doesn’t look great for me though, since only a few people are getting the UCLA email message (good for you berkeleyphil! :)). I’m going to take it as a bad sign just so I don’t get my hope up…

I got the “enrollment status” message too.

I’m also getting another message now when I go to “View, Print, Or Pay for Your Housing Offers.” It says "We do not have any information associated with this student ID. If you’ve been submitted in our records please wait 1 business day for it process.

That part about “if you’ve been submitted into our records” could definitely be a good sign, as before I wasn’t able to access this page at all
