2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

UGH the email thing logs me off automatically every single time. FRICK ON A STICK MAN.
berkeley phil i think it means something good though for you.

edit: its actually sayin login failed? whatever, its still ****ty

■■■ too. I also don’t see anything. :(

I feel pretty discouraged since I’m a psych major and all the other psych majors I see on here have way better stats then I do. I hope they take my unusual circumstances into consideration… I’m scared I won’t even get in with my alternate major. I have to work on my final paper right now but I can’t concentrate!

Hey guys,

I’ve been following a ton of these threads for a while and I’m just as nervous as anyone but this is the first time I’ve ever replied to any. I have a question regarding the URSA. When creating an account, which choice do I select? (New Student or the very last option from the list) Good luck to everyone out there and hopefully today is the day.

New Student

^ New student. I chose the very last option the first time and I couldn’t get through. I had to create a new one with the new student option and use the UCLA ID that appears on the admission site. https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/Login.aspx

Thank you very much and I’m going to create it right now.

I also have been following this forum for the past few months

I already made a URSA account as I have enrolled for summer school. However, I am now able to apply for a housing offer, a link which wasn’t available before. However, when I get there a new sign pop up saying something like “error, we are unsure of your admission status we will have this fixed by the end of the next business day.” Not sure what I can draw from this.

Secondly, as another poster mentioned on the myUCLA page, which is different from URSA, I now see my listed major and quarter posted as unknown. Before my major was listed as unknown and my quarter was listed as summer session. Hopefully, this is a positive sign. But it could just mean they’ve updated the applications and this is no indication of admission.

Let the wait continue…

@gamblin I am also a summer sessions student, but I can’t seem to find where the major and quarter listed is on myUCLA.

The major and quarter was listed in the top right of the main page on the myUCLA after you log on.

It looked like this: Philosophy Unknown Session

mine didn’t update… doesn’t bode well :(

Mine updated :-)

i can make a bruincard too, and create a ucla email address. i get that same message as you do berkeleyphil…“as a ucla student you are entitled to a free e-mail address…”. BUT I can’t can’t see my financial aid summary, and it says they havent received by FAFSA which I turned in before the deadline.

if i don’t get into ucla, i will be trippppin since Cal was the only other school I applied too!!! =/

catfood! updated to what?

i tried logging into myucla, but i keep on getting an error message:

“You have signed out of this application. However, you may have active sessions at other sites you’ve visited while signed in. If you are using a public or shared workstation, shut down your browsers to make sure you have signed out of all applications.”

I already flippin signed off, closed and re-opened by browser and I keep getting this message. Anyone else not able to log in to myucla?

^ I get the same message.

Hmm…I didn’t realize there was a difference between URSA and MyUCLA. So I just tried to login to MyUCLA and I get the auto-logout deal like a lot of other people. I’m going to try with a different browser and see if anything happens.

@BerkeleyPhil

Did you get these new updates (like major display, UCLA email, etc.) on URSA or MyUCLA? Because my URSA hasn’t updated ****.

Nevermind check that. I think I just found out something really good. In my earlier post I said that once I tried to go to apply online for housing it said “…we’re unsure of your admission status…” I just double checked that it actually says “…we’re unsure of your enrollment…” I think this is a really good sign as I could even access the page at all before today and it seems like I’m not granted access and then blocked because I have filed an SIR.

Has financial aid reward summary and document tracking now

I’m getting the same message about signing out.
