2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

@iZychr

When you say “Tried it,” do you mean you:

1) In URSA, clicked “View Enrollment Menu”
2) Selected 2011/Summer
3) Checked the boxes and clicked Agree (or whatever)
4) Were able to see the menu that includes an “Add a Class” button on the top left

If you did all that and were able to see that menu, but then didn’t see a yourlogin@ucla.edu email address appear in the “Update Email” screen, it would be very interesting.

Does anyone with TAP see their ursa? Especially if you’re borderline with an alternative major?

okay, so it let me change it to my chosen loginid@ucla.edu and the emergency crap popped up, but when it came to actually logging into to the actual email portal thing, i couldnt.
so for now im just leaving it as my gmail email ;(

@la4ever09

I’m TAP, IGETC, 3.4-3.95 GPA (depending on how my OOS units transfer), Political Science (with all 4 prereqs and a Psych Stats course), and I don’t have access to financial aid or document tracking.

My alternative major is much easier to get into, but I don’t have any prereqs completed for it.

CC lets take over the UCLA discussion board…
Facebook;

If you guys are clicking summer ANYTHING to get an email, it has nothing to do with admission. You’re prob better off thinking about whether your fin aid doc tracking is showing up.

In relation to that, my friend has a friend that is a student employee for EOP/AAP, and she said that financial aid is only processed for admitted/pending students. Then if they qualify for EOP/AAP, they’d know before decisions go out.

Although, That doesn’t mean that they don’t continually update files, so if yours isn’t up, don’t start stressing balls.

I know most of us know this, just trying to speculate/confirm the whole fin aid doc tracking thing.

^Yes, I agree on the summer issue. However, if someone who has gone through the summer process can’t access MyUCLA or see the @ucla.edu email, it would be interesting. IMHO, though, the chances of that are slim.

@Nick
You’re right. Buit don’t I get charged for adding a class?

Do you guys think the info (financial aid summary and whatnot) for Regents applicants are displayed earlier or later than regular applicants?

as far as i know, the earliest fin aid and doc tracking was available was on 4/15 so definitely not earlier

Hey guys so I can actually log into my personal UCLA email account that I made yesterday. And I also tried sending some emails with it and it worked… Hope it’s a good sign… Is anyone willing to call UCLA today? :/

@ berkeleyphil, how were you able to log-in? i created one, but i can’t log-in.

For anyone whos been looking at last years threads - Does anyone know if people still got accepted, but weren’t able to see their FA summary around this time?

And also I can see my major on MyUCLA website!

@cherryvaseline: you can log in on here https://mail.ucla.edu/login.php</a>
try it and tell me if you can as well (:

I cannot see my FA summary or Document Tracking, and i cannot log into MyUCLA.

I am a borderline applicant for my first choice major, however i am confident about getting in as my alternate (TAP).

Does this mean that maybe i got rejected for my first choice and they are maybe looking at my 2nd choice?

@cherryvaseline Last year everyone who saw FA Summary was accepted, except one person but I think they were confused.

I think the FA summary is the best indicator that you will be admitted.

I’m in the same position as you uclahopee. I’m also borderline for my first choice but i’m confident about getting into my alternate because of TAP.

Was the converse true? Everyone who did not see the FA summary got denied?

@Uclahopee No, some people were admitted and didn’t see their FA Summary until the very last second or after.

@Uclahopee what’s your gpa and alternative major?
