Was it just me or was the science section lacking a “Fighting scientists” section, like when they give you two different studies and you analyze.

@Steveny
It was the part with the students 1-4 and their different experiments with solvents/solids etc. - it is always the part with 7 questions

do you guys remember the science question it almost tricked me. It was talking about how all the liquids found were not green so which student’s hypothesis is inconsistent. At first i was like just student 4 but student 1 also stated that it was a solute in a pure green solvent so it was wrong. So the correct answer was 1 and 4?

for the aqua sea life passage or whatever it was called, did the author represent both sides equally? (i don’t remember the exact question but it was something about the author’s opinion on aqua fishing)

Honestly my testing experience was awful. My proctor had no idea what she was doing and if it wasn’t for the fact that I previously took the ACT my room would have gotten their scores voided. The proctor almost collected our test books before we were even done with the test! It was a mess and got me really flustered. Is this a justifiable reason to complain to the ACT if my scores aren’t up to par?

Anyways
English: super easy I can’t even remember a questions that stumped me
Math: Easy until I hit the last 10 questions or so. I completely jinxed myself because I was like “wow these aren’t so bad at all” then I had to guess on like 4 of them because of time
Reading: My pacing was AWFUL. I literally didn’t read the last passage and attempted the questions. It’ll be a miracle if I end up doing well on that section
Science: The material wasn’t hard it was just a lot of information with so little time to process it. I got to the last passage not even wanting to read it and frankly not caring
Essay: Good topic. I was running short on time so my paragraph organization and handwriting was sloppy but oh well. I didn’t even get to read it over.

I took the December ACT and got a composite of 28 so I’m not too worried since I have an above average score to fall back on.

@cchlloe If i remember the question you’re talking about i believe the answer was yes…
and for english i got more no-change’s than i’m used to…anyone else agree? lol

kb1238 my proctor did the same thing. Are you in colorado by an chance? lol

Anybody know the answer to the concrete question? It was something like, area 270, width 18, height 6, what was the thickness?

@imokayman
I think that question was asking the volume given A=270 and thickness = 6 inches, so the volume would be (270)(6/12)=135 cu. ft

Oh, ok, thanks. Got that one wrong.

am i the only one who thought the science was easy. the on i messed up on was reading. i was only halfway through the third passage when i got the 10 min warning. i speed read through the last one. english and math were easy though

Hey does anyone remember for this question it was one of the easier questions on math i think but i was running out of time… It was referring to that graph with like the sales tax and something about $30,000 dollars originally and 6% tax in June 2005 and then what would be it in June 2006 if 7% tax? I put $3,600 because i was running low on time and just guessed…

Also this is my first time taking the ACT, i thought everyone gets a different version of the test or something so people can’t cheat? So we all took the same test? Because the questions you guys are asking are definitely the same test that i took lol… for every section…

@Sy2850 3600 is the right answer lucky guess!

That’s Awesome!

@Sy2850 Everyone who takes it on the same day has the same test, that’s why they’re so strict about no cellphones.

I probably blew the science… I was doing better in my practice tests, but this was awful.

Oh i see… I think i did bad on science too… I did not even have time to finish it i guessed on a lot… It went like this for me. English was super easy. Math was ok but then it had some hard problems. Reading I think was easy but i ran out of time so i guessed on a lot… And the science yeah not good…

I did fine (for me) on math, English was easy, and I did three passages on reading. But in science I guessed on too many. I loved the prompt though! Hopefully a 10.

@rain i agree, much better than the september prompt i had.

were there alot of A’s in the first reading passage? Also in the science section that had no graphs or charts was there alot of A’s

what did the narrator say was the art? (in the tree section of reading)…and does anyone remember their answer letter pattern in the last 5 science questions?
