2012 April ACT General Discussion

i got listening to music live or whatever for the question that was like: "which situation is most like the people described in paragraph [something].

Yeah it was the live one! And wait what was the college tuition for math?

thank god i put 30! maybe i can still get a 36 on math

1500 a year for 4 years

I thought the answer was 45… It said the ratios were 5, 6, and 9. It asked what the biggest side could be so I chose 45. 45 times 6/9 is 30. 45 Times 5/9 is 25. 45 + 30 + 25 = 100 and they said the total perimeter was 100.

PLEASE TELL ME IT WAS 6000

i couldn’t find it but i got a number close to what was 1.5 times what the girl paid, and got over 6000, so i put 6000.

Can someone put up the answers for the third reading section and possibly the first one?

@ toby

Mirror: For the reading question, I was kinda confused.

I put something like it was a spectacular new technology or something. I was going to put - it makes the world less amazing or something - but he had a positive connotation to it so I didn’t think that’s what he meant.

CD - Yes! I got the same thing.

And yes for the tuition - 6000

vicimus-

that was a different question, but yes 45 was right for that one

i got 45 too for the longest side of the triangle question

there were two triangle perimeter questions. The one with the ratio of 2:3 was 30, and the one with 5:6:9 was 45.

oh my god i did so much better than I thought on… everything.

The one with the rectangle and 3 triangles inside of it was 1/2?

There were two triangle questions. Wat?

It’s amazing how easily I forget things…

Wait guys how many bikes and treadmills what was it?

For the reading section, about the mirror and photos, I put something about the aspect of technology with dau…something

Anybody other opinions on this? - What was the Reading answer to the question about the person who said that photography is a mirror or whatever would most likely agree with?

I put something like it was a spectacular new technology or something. I was going to put - it makes the world less amazing or something - but he had a positive connotation to it so I didn’t think that’s what he meant.

actstudent 153

bikes and treadmills was like 151 or something i think

Beachglass, actstudent

I got 153 too

I sort of know what question you are talking about inTheoWeTrust but I’m not sure you are wording it right
