Thanks for the good info

When does UCLA inform in state students about regents scholarships? Do they just do it at the same time they notify?

Thanks!

UCLA Regents Scholarship is not limited to in-state students. Applicants in the top 1.5% of the applicant pool are invited to apply.

AskMsSun, what about international students? Can they get Regents invites, too?

This from UC website concerning Regents at UCLA,

Unless there’s an error, it seems limited to Cal residents.

Not limited to California Students, this weekend I met a Regent’s scholar from Texas. Not limited to in-state.

Is it possible that they are resident for tuition purposes/transferred from a California CC?

Iglooo, thank you for the link. It’s very helpful.

And anyone know how to quote a message like in the #7? I tried several times but failed.

I stand corrected. From the UCLA 2012-2013 Financial Aid Handbook at http://www.fao.ucla.edu/Publications/2012-2013/Fin_Aid_Handbook.pdf</a>, page 12:

that’s lame. they’re discriminating against OOS students :-(

^As they should. The UCs are public CALIFORNIA schools funded by the taxes of California residents and mainly for California students. Thus, California students should largely get the benefits of the system.
