Post it again after this comment! But make sure to say you’ll have a 3.3 after fall 2011 because that’s what it says on the last page :)

Student Leadership-A
General Chemistry II-C
Sgl Var Calc/Anlyt Geometry II-D

I retook Sgl Var Calc/Anlyt Geometry II and got an A over the summer.
I was just wondering how much will the C and D affect my chances?

so what are we gonna talk about on december 1st?

^ if we submitted are apps :P?

^

…hmmm interested in the grammar of your personal statement.

kitty you turn yours in =P?

I submitted mine on November 18. LIKEABOSS

Current College: Berkeley City College

Major: History

GPA: 3.14 (After Fall 2011 3.3+)

Applying to: UCI, UCSB, UCSC, UCLA, UCD, UCSD.

EC:

 1. Worked at the Oakland Aviation Museum as a curator. Helped to restore Amelia Earhart’s airplane.
 2. Oakland Museum of California. Curator.
 3. Getty Villa. Curator.
 4. City of Calabasas Library.

IGETC finished by Spring 2012.

ASSIST: Completed UCLA, UCD, UCSD, UCSC.

WILL complete ASSIST for UCI, and UCSB in the Spring 2012.

TAG: UCSB

ESSAY: Not to sound cocky, but … really good. I had the opportunity for Professor Sean Burns (UCSC Professor) to help me revise it, and he said its brilliant.

I submitted my UCapplications on the 25th of November. I’ll finish applying to CSULB, and CAL POLY later tonight.

For the next four - five months, I’m going to stress about my applications. >.<!

@tomatoman

Just to be clear, you got a D in Calc II, and a C in Gen Chem?

But you repeated the D for an A, so that should not be a problem. The C in Gen Chem might be a problem, depending on how you do in Organic. Are you taking Organic I this semester and Organic II next semester? How are your grades in physics?

If you are taking O-chem this semester, and can get an A, and have strong grades in physics, then I say that you’re in at SD even if your Fall 2011 GPA stays the same.

If you have not completed the physics series and don’t plan to complete organic chemistry, then I’m going to say definitely no for UCLA.

UCI only wants a 2.8 GPA for physical sciences, but they require that you complete one year of gen chem with a B grade or higher in each course, so I think that you’re out of luck there.

@Ella89: Thanks!

@collegebrother

Where did you TAG to? I’m sure that you’re in at UCSD, even without O-Chem. Cal and UCLA are huge on pre-reqs, so idk about them.

Waaaait, why are you gonna get a C in Physics? :(

Don’t get a C! Try your best to raise it to a B. Where are you taking the class?

Hello everyone, just jumpin’ in. (-: Would very much appreciate it if y’all could chance me.

@ asphyxiac
Thanks for replying, i really appreciate it. I TAG UCSD. It is almost practically impossible to raise my physics grade from a C to B because all thats left is the final; however i have calculated my gpa including the C i will get in physics and i still qualify for my TAG at UCSD. Hopefully i get in all the UCs. Thanks again

Hello, I am applying to UCSD, UCB, UCI, and UCLA
Major: Mechanical engineering, 2nd: Chemical Engineering/Materials Engineering
GPA: 3.7
Prereqs: completed
IGETC: completed
TAG: UCI, region-x(pipeline) tag to UCSD
Ec’s: Tutoring, engineering summer internship, elementary school robots club coach

UCSD and UCB are my top choices. I am worried I will not get into the ME program at UCSD due to how impacted it is.

Thanks

^does the TAG apply to engineering majors? You have a pretty good GPA for that major. I’ve seen a ton of 3.6, 3.7 get in. I’d say you’re in at UCSD. Wish I knew more on Berkeley but I dont.

Please please PLEASE chance me. I am worried.

Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.34 (with fall grades)
Applying: UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCR

My top choices are UCSD and UCSB. Please let me know my chances. Thanks.

@EggyHam

What are your IGETC + pre-req status?

Completed?

I genuinely don’t know for UCSD (they cray cray), but I’m sure you’re in at SB/UCI if you have pre-reqs/IGETC done.

And definitely in at UCR.
