2014 SDSU Transfer Decisions - POST HERE!

Rejected as well. 3.1 GPA. Honestly, I’m not surprised. They’re well-known to be random and favor San Diego natives (and I understand why).
Applied to majority of the UC’s and a few calstates.
Accepted: Cal Poly Pomona, UC Riverside.
Denied: SDSU
Waitlisted: CSU Long Beach
Pending: UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSB, CSUN.

Goodluck everyone. Those who had SDSU as their top choice should really consider appealing even if you live outside of the local area. My friend got rejected with a 2.7 and appealed and got an acceptance with the same GPA in June.

DENIED as well :o
Accounting
3.59 gpa
all GEs done and golden four
from Cal Poly Pomona

Who is appealing?

Denied too. 3.1 GPA. Business Admin/Marketing. Was feeling hopeful but really not surprised.
Accepted: SJSU
Pending: SLO, CSUN, SFSU, UCSD, UCSB, UCD, UCLA

Denied Admission
Major-Accounting
GPA-3.82 70+units
Location- Nor Cal
Had all the IGETC and Prerequisites done and the golden four. A’s in all the business classes. Also getting an AS-T in business. This is some BS.

what the hell, i saw some people with 3.4s getting accepted in accounting!! :@

lol what a joke i got rejected too. not even gonna bother appealing. this was my safety out of high school. lots of qualified people got denied.

@TheOnlyJuan I know man! I am definitely going to appeal.

@trans44 do you know what type of appeal we can use? the only one i see that applies to us is request for re-evaluation of denied admissions.

@TheOnlyJuan yea that’s the one I see. I’m so pissed man. I really wanted to go there. Looking back at the forum seeing some people get accepted with 3.2s and 3.4s thats some bs. I worked way too hard last 3 years to be denied.

I just got rejected somehow. I had a 3.8 with all major classes completed. Doesn’t make sense how I was not admitted

if sdsu wants to be considered a better school they should go about this process a whole lot differently. this is me being bitter, but really.

Did y’all who got denied get an email? Cuz I’m scared to check the portal now haha :(

What’s happening to sdsu? Are they pulling names out of hats? @moniiique I got accepted to San Marcos in January.

@Eliselise I received an email a couple of hours after I saw the decision on WebPortal.

I just got denied by SDSU as well.
I have a 3.8 gpa with all major specific and general education courses completed.
I am a graphic design major
I do not understand their decision in denying me, while others have been accepted with bellow a 3.0 gpa. I will definitely appeal, but I am beyond pissed.

Thanks @karina88.

Yeah, I got denied.
3.57 GPA, English major, from Orange County. IGETC completed & all but one major prep class (and two not offered at my school) completed.
It’s kinda ■■■■■■ to see people with lower GPAs getting accepted and thinking you have a chance but then getting denied even with a significantly higher GPA @_@

I got denied as well.

3.95 gpa, Accounting, Nor Cal
GE complete minus one class I am taking now
Major Req complete minus one class I am taking now

@MRudnick i got denied with a 3.9 and all prerequisites completed

Got denied with a 3.77 in accounting. Honestly I don’t even think it’s worth appealing since i’m in Northern California and SDSU LOVES locals… Ridiculous

Pending… Still …poly sci major

What i will say to those who have been rejected is that I know a lot of sd local students who are using Sdsu as a backup, because really they want to go away. So I imagine if they get into Sdsu, and other colleges, they will definitely go away and then there will be a lot of open slots at the end. So appeal, because there will be a lot of open slots from the San Diego locals, at the very least.

My transfer advisor said its like a game of musical chairs, very few seats for a lot of people playing.
