2014 SDSU Transfer Decisions - POST HERE!

what other schools did you apply to @lynn562? are you local and what is your gpa?

Also haven’t heard back :frowning: Applying as fine arts major with AA for transfer. GPA is 3.2 so not super hopeful. Fingers crossed though! My friend heard back in early March. He was admitted as a business major.

@Christinedoz @nannl0ve

3.3 GPA sociology major.
all prerequisites done.
63.5 transferable units by spring.

I live in LA county. I got into CSULB and Sacramento Sate. Pending for UCI UCSB and SDSU. I’m saying it’s likely I wont get in to SDSU because SD has way more applicants to choose from compared to San Marcos, and I think the requirements were also a lot lower for San Marcos. 2.0 to apply and 2.4 for my major, I think. If I do get into SD, it’ll be luck :slight_smile:

I’ve read posts on other forums where people don’t get into SDSU but they still get into UCs, so I’m hopeful for those.

I know that we all have received different answers from admissions at SDSU but I called yesterday to verify that they received my AA-T verification and what not, and they did receive it. But, I also asked the admissions counselor when ADT transfer students would for sure receive our admissions decisions. She told me that those who haven’t already been denied admission will receive our decisions on April 1st. This did give me some relief and I hope that this helps my fellow transfer applicants! I have been stressing out about this FOR THE WHOLE MONTH OF MARCH NOW! Again, I do know that all of us have received different info from SDSU so I don’t know if this insight is 100% accurate
I really hope I get in, my friend and I are planning to look for apartments off campus soon!

I was already accepted to CSU Long Beach and CSU Fullerton. Still pending for SDSU and CSU Chico. Long beach received appx. 83,000 applications for Fall 2014 and SDSU has received appx. 78,000 (including freshman and transfer students) I hope this information is helpful but good luck to everyone! Whatever happens, happens I guess.

Oh no… We will find out on April fools day!

@Doublev93 are you transferring from merced college?

Yes, unfortunately haha @nannl0ve

lol. @Doublev93 same here. except i’m a criminal justice major but i’ll be getting an AS-T. let us know when you find out if you got accepted. you got accepted into some pretty good schools so i wouldn’t doubt it.

Thank you! Idk we’ll see. SDSU is my first choice but they have a lot of local schools they have to cater to. Good luck to you and best wishes to getting out of Merced! @nannl0ve

Has anyone denied tried to appeal?

Are there any Business Administration majors who are still pending?

@moniiique have you heard back?

@brett8 I still have my application pending but I want to have an idea of what to do because I will be appealing if I am denied admission.

@moniiique what’s your major? Are you under tag?

@brizzzy19 yes I am still pending and I applied with an AS-T.

Major- Business Admin.
Degree: Will have AS-T completed after current spring semester is completed and completed IGETC already.
Decision: Pending
GPA w/ bump: 3.14
Credits: 74 transferable credits by spring
Location: Orange County

did the supplemental, got an email telling me they received the fax I sent for my proof of AS-T letter.
denied to San marcos today, was accepted to CSULB a month ago, accepted to CSU fullerton shortly after long beach, got that email from CSU Channel islands also. I dont wanna go there so im not going to apply…
The focus I chose for SDSU was general business, so hopefully they accept me since most people on here didnt seem to choose that…

A friend of mine in my macro econ class said he applied for business without an as-t and got accepted with a 3.4 or 3.5? soooo ■■■… ya we need to just chill and not even expect anything until as late as mid april…

my sdsu webportal says admission status date: december 01, 2013. anyone else’s have a more current date there?

I went to the explore day or visitors day or whatever last saturday and totally fell in love. uggh im gonna hate myself so much if i dont get in.

the friend of mine that got accepted said he doesnt even wanna go there… so people like that who maybe chose sdsu as their backup will eventaully get weeded out and those of us that get denied may get another random acceptance offer i the future. I read online that occured last fall. many accepted applicants turned it down and then many denied applicants got new offers after already being denied.

hang tight everyone!!

I got denied from CSU San marcos as well, but I was accepted to SDSU and SAC State. SDSU was my first choice so it doesn’t matter to me if San Marcos denied me. It’s probably because I did not attend a community college in the San Marcos area. I’m in SDSU’s local area.

Business Admin still pending here…

Major: Business Admin. (Financial Services)
Location - Moorpark College
GPA - 3.69
AS-T, CSU GE, IGETC, and all major
prep completed by Spring 2014.

I’m curious to know how many people are receiving notification that SDSU has received their AS-T verification form. I sent them a paper copy over two weeks ago, and heard nothing. So I sent a fax directly to them a week ago today, and still haven’t seen a change on my app or been notified that it’s been received.

What’s more frustrating is I can’t seem to get a straight answer when I call their offices. When I called a week ago to check on the status of my paper copy, they said there was no way for them to check if they had received it or not.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have met all requirements for tag and I’m from the local area and got all units done at cuyamaca and grossmont. I qualify under the tag admissions but I have not heard back yet. I know they go by major so I’m thinking Mabey they drop the ones that do not qualify early then just focus on the ones that exceed or meet all requirements; like me.

66 transferable
3.08
No AS-T and I’m hoping because state is my local csu that my admission won’t be an issue.
Major is health comm
All local units
Gpa exceeded
Major prep finished completely
Ge requirements finished by end of spring.

I was told by a counselor that I am basically a guarantee but you never know with universities.
I have made the Vice Presidents list with a 3.5 over 12 units or more so if I’m declined they will have a hell of an appeal on their hands, that’s for sure!

@codynight71

I would take a picture of it and email to the general admission email, and the counselor who handles your area. Then I would refax & also mail a hard copy. So since you don’t know for sure atleast you have sent it a lot and to different people and they are bound to have received it.
