2014 SDSU Transfer Decisions - POST HERE!

@collegebussniess‌ Congratulations! It’s a great feeling isn’t it??

Just paid my Intent to Enroll deposit! :D

Just curious if anyone was accepted to sdsu from an out of area four year university?

Since no CJ Majors are posting, I will. My S was admitted on April 7th with the following stats.
AS-T (Criminal Justice) from Mesa, local area, 3.2 Gpa, 60+ units.

Question though, for enrollment they are asking for transcripts through fall 2013…Do they really want those again, or do we just need to send final transcripts for spring 2014 ? I mean they already received them as part of the admittance process.

@SDSU8251‌, you may have to submit it if they’re still asking for it. Look on the portal under “Admission Status” at the very bottom, and it should tell you what you need. I submitted my Fall 2013 transcripts already.

@SDSU8251 Sending your transcripts to SDSU was not part of the admissions process unless you were specifically asked by them to do so. This is unusual and mostly only requested of out-of-state and international applicants. If they asked you for them, it probably means they have not received your transcripts that included your grades from Fall 2013. If you go into your portal, you will see a list of things SDSU needs and whether or not they have received them. Keep in mind that SDSU will only accept electronic transcripts from local schools, they will not accept paper ones.

@knhofto what is your source?? Everyone I know who has applied as a transfer has to submit their transcripts. We have to submit Fall 2013 transcripts by May 1st, and Spring 2014 transcripts later.

All transfer applicants need to submit at least 2 sets of transcripts; one for Fall 2013 before May 1, and the other for Spring 2014 before June 30. That’s how it was for at least the past several years anyways. Also, SDSU accepts both electronic and paper transcripts, but will only accept electronic transcripts from specific schools.

All of this is detailed here: <a href=“Transfer Students | SDSU”>Transfer Students | SDSU;

Transcripts were required by mid Feb along with supplemental and AS-T verification letter by mid March. Spoke to admissions today and they stated that I did not have to resubmit, even though the 7 steps to enroll instruct you to do that. Now only have final spring 2014 transcripts to send in.

@stevoleeto‌ On the initial CSU application it stated that it is not necessary for transfer students to send transcripts until offered admission or notified by the school. Also, if you look at the Supplemental Application tutorial, it says in a couple of places to submit transcripts from Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 once you are accepted to the university.

My apologies for being unclear, submitting transcripts is part of the admission process, but you are not required to send them until you are accepted into the university (unless you are specifically asked to do so by the university).

@SDSU8251‌ Transcripts were not required to be submitted with you supplemental. If you submitted them then and were admitted, great! You are one step ahead of the game. :smiley:

Yeah guess I submitted them unnecessarily, but got accepted so maybe it helped…who knows!

Still pending f m l

@knhofto‌ ah correct. Yeah I didn’t realize you were talking about it being prior to admittance.

Is anybody else being asked for their SAT scores? I thought we didn’t have send them since we’re transferring. Maybe it’s because I put my scores into the application.

@blue4two It means you included it in your application. The system automatically marks the scores as self reported and wants you to confirm it. As transfers it means nothing to us, and isn’t worth the money of sending them in. Shoot admissions and email saying you wish to not report your SAT scores and they’ll fix it.

Source: I self reported SAT scores, didn’t want to pay 50$ to send them in, walked into admissions and told me the above information.

Quick question for those that got in: Have you sent in AP scores and had them update as received on webportal? I sent mine in over a month ago and still haven’t.

@defacto‌ I requested my AP scores be sent a few weeks ago. My card was just charged on Tuesday for the scores, so hopefully SDSU will have received them by next week. My AP exams are archived. Did you receive a note in the mail from College Board stating they sent your scores? If you didn’t, you should call them.

@knhofto I did not receive a note in the mail from them. If I go online and check the college board website the order shows as processed, which should (hopefully) mean it was sent. That was on March 7th though, so I’m surprised Webportal still hasn’t updated it as received yet.My scores were archived too, so that’s hopefully why it’s taking so long.

I’m definitely gonna call both Collegeboard and SDSU on Monday though.

Now that it’s the end of the week, has anyone that’s still pending heard back yet? It seems unusual that they’d keep those people waiting this long.

nope still no reply, still pending called and just got “theres no expected date it will come when it comes”
so till then I guess
