Still pending as well. I called and was told to “hold tight”. I inquired about the SIR deadline and was told SIR deadline would be extended if it was past 5/1. The problem is, my second choice CSU will not extend their SIR deadline in order for me to wait fir SDSU.

I have not been notified of any additional information required.

It is perplexing. Although SDSU is now my top choice (rejected at UCLA) I don’t think i can just wait and see and decline my other firm admittances.

As I understand it you can inly SIR at one school. Do the CSUs know if you SIR at a UC? Can SIR at one CSUS while the decision is still pending at another CSU (SDSU)? Can I SIR at one UC while the decision at another is still under review? I received word from Cal that they are going to hold off on my decision until my Spring term grades are complete. Therefore, i will not get my decision from Cal until mid-June.

I will be still playing the waiting game fir 2 more months.

Are either of you recruited athletes? I just got a call from the coach who told me that the athletes have not been processed by administration yet.

Based on how the coach described it, I don’t want to encourage you to be too hopeful, BUT… I think he used the term “special admits” when he said that admissions has not yet processed the “special admits.” It makes sense to me that a veteran would fall into the special admit category. And, thank you for your service.

I am a veteran transfer student that started at State last year. My admission decision came in the first batch (Stats Major), and I was not in any “Special Admit” class.

I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this, but send Frank Roberts an email. He’s the guy to get the ball rolling for you. Best of luck, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you have.

Hey everyone! Did you send in your AP scores even if the scores weren’t used to fulfill any IGETC requirement or really anything at all? I haven’t been able to get through to Admission for the past 4 business days (have been on hold for hours and/or hung up on) and it’s really frustrating. My AP scores have been ‘archived,’ I found out two weeks ago and it would take more than two weeks to ‘un-archive’ them and that doesn’t even include the time it takes to mail college board that request AND for college board to send the scores.

Pretty ■■■■■■■ ridiculous. I’m so frustrated too that I can’t get hold of SDSU to confirm that that won’t make my admission offer be rescinded.

@ajmarr I do have requirements covered by AP scores and had some issues getting them sent in. A counselor contacted me directly via email two weeks ago stating my admissions would be rescinded if they didn’t receive them by May 12th. If you didn’t receive an email similar to the one I did, I would ASSUME you wouldn’t get your offer rescinded if they don’t receive your AP scores.

For those of us who were denied, what are we supposed to do?! I have done all the transfer classes, I live in San Diego and have met all requirements. I have no more classes left to take. What do I do now? No other local school offers my degree! Do I wait a year and apply again? What if I don’t get it then? What the hell do I do when I just want to go to school and better myself!

Does anyone know how we’ll be notified about the waitlist? I just checked the application and where it used to have a box showing I opted into the waitlist, it doesn’t have anything now. I’m fairly worried.

Anybody in the AA-T program with Grossmont get denied?? My roommate and I both had letters attached to the preliminary verification packet Grossmont mailed us which was apparently supposed to be given to SDSU by a March deadline that specifically said that if we were in the AA-T program and applying to SDSU they did not need the packet. In a nutshell, because of that attached letter that’s why we got denied. We talked to SDSU admissions and they aren’t sure why Grossmont sent that but a lady said there’s about 10-20 Grossmont students in the AA-T program that are in the same boat and we have to wait to appeal our application at the end of the semester. Wondering if anyone on here is in same position?

@AlyssaJade A LOT of Grossmont students with AA-T / AS-T were denied because Grossmont never sent the ADT confirmations to SDSU. I’ve talked with a TON of counselors @ SDSU and @ Grossmont - you are NOT alone.

long story short: Grossmont ROYALLY screwed up but they don’t want to admit it on paper - they are afraid of getting sued.

SDSU admissions is fully aware of the problem as are almost every counselor @ grossmont - but SDSU can’t really do much about it - all the spots are taken for this semester. I’ve sent in an appeal. However, the chances of admission are SLIM this semester. We are probably going to have to wait until next year to apply.

DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM GROSSMONT ABOUT ADMISSIONS AT SDSU - THEY ARE INEPT. We would have been admitted if grossmont hadn’t of messed up.

Have the admissions center @ SDSU help you fill out your application next year. (Yes we are getting screwed out of 18 months of our lives) - Cheers mate

Edit: My case history: 5 Degrees from Grossmont including an AS-T - I completed IGETC/TAG and AS-T for guaranteed admission with a 3.7 GPA as a local student and I was denied because of AS-T Confirmation error @ grossmont

Was it possible to get a personal copy of your AS-T degree from Grossmont? Did they confirm the AS-T’s for everyone, but just didn’t send it out to SDSU themselves?

I’m asking because many schools never sent out confirmations to the universities; however they did send them to each student. In my experience I had to do all the work and ask for my confirmation from my CC and personally walk into SDSU Prospective Student’s Office and hand it to them to make sure they received it.

@christinedoz SDSU knows which students were denied because of AS-T confirmations and they also know that the students possess the degrees. I’ve also shown my AS-T hard copy to SDSU. However, they only accept the degree confirmation via electronic transcript - thats the problem. Grossmont never sent them - unless you requested they be sent (and paid the 5$ fee).

SDSU never received the electronic degree confirmations (which is posted to electronic transcripts as well) for a LOT of students - the only thing we can do is appeal.
