Major - Business - Information Systems

@joogman23

wooooooot! good job man! out of area and majoring in accounting and you got admitted! mine is still “pending” for some reason, but if you got in, I see absolutely no reason to not get in. 3.55 GPA and all major prereqs finished.

If I get denied, I am DEFINITELY going appeal and not only appeal, but ask wat the F is going on.

@F2014Accounting You and me both. I also have everything completed and an AS/T with a 3.61…

@sdsu2014

Does AS/T actually apply towards accounting majors? I was told by both my councelor and someone at admissions that the AS/T only applies to Business (General) and Business (Financial Services) majors.

This site as well has AS/T degrees and the SDSU approved major equivalent.
<a href=“Transfer Students | SDSU”>Transfer Students | SDSU;

If it turns out to make a difference, I will be extremely mad, because I chose to not pursue an AS/T precisely because I was told that it isn’t applicable for concentrations in business other than “General” and “Financial Services” concentrations.

This admission process is a joke, I applied with a 3.75 (went to a 3.8 with supplemental) and did all the required classes except for one (which was not offered at my school). My account says pending and that does not make sense because there are people here that are getting in with less than 3.5s and less core classes. Hopefully more acceptances are being sent out soon

Major - International Business (Latin America)
Decision - Accepted
Location - North Cal
GPA - 3.95 (Transfer from CC)
Missing 2 pre-reqs that are not offered where I am.

@dekitio did they post your acceptance? When was the last time you checked the portal… I swear I keep refreshing it every 15 minutes but if they sent your acceptance this morning than I should stop hoping I’ll get word tonight …

@lilchickvicious Yes they have, I saw it when I got back from class around 1pm. You might get a response from them tomorrow, I heard that they were having more and more applications each year. Do not worry too much about it, getting an early response or late response is just based on luck, or major I would guess. Not on the decision.

I checked my webportal at about 11am and it said pending. I called the admissions and they told me it depends on the major. I was told that I would not know anything until the end of March. I got home and saw that I was accepted with a congratulatory email. My friend with the same major has “pending” on her web portal still so I don’t understand how they are doing it

Major - Foods and Nutrition
Decision - ACCEPTED :slight_smile:
Location - San Diego (Local)
GPA - 3.40
Transferring from a CC, completed IGETC and all but one of the major prep courses.

@F2014Accouting thanks man, i hope you guys get in. It’s super chill in san diego. You should get in though with your stats. I was concerned as well with the AS-T for business and I think you are 100% right on what you’re saying about the AS-T. BUT in my opinion I really think it does help because you are more competitive that way by saying you earned an AS-T, rather than someone else who hasn’t earned one or is in the process. But this is just my opinion, you should be good though. In any case, if you don’t happen to pull through keep in mind that SDSU is still a state school… Don’t sweat it

so far only business and journalism majors have been admitted.

any psych majors yet?

@Juhope

Not all Business and journalism have been admitted. It is a weird process.

Hello everyone, I just got accepted!
I felt inclined to reply since Juhope asked about psych majors.
I got accepted today around 4 pm.
Psych/pre med, GPA is 3.9, and I am in the local service area. Transfer from a cc (southwestern college) and I did not do the AA-T. That being said, hope all you hopefuls get in and do not have to wait much longer!
