Hi guys! I was perusing the common app prompts for this year and I wanted to choose: " Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution." But i had a very quirky idea for this one and I wanted to get an opinion on whether or not it was TOO abstract.
I will send it to people who have already been through this process. Thanks!
Are the prompts available already for the college class of '20?
yeah @dac2016
Sorry to jack the thread, but is the word limit 650? I couldn’t find it anywhere.
@Newdle Went on the HS class of 2016 thread and someone told me yes. I found that on google it was 250 words-650 words
Thanks!
I’m actually an intern for this website where, basically, you can read essays from students who have been accepted to high ranking colleges like Cornell. You can also buy their profiles which means that they’ll actually give you advice on how to write your essay. Since it’s a peer-to-peer website, you know you can more easily connect with these students. You should think about it! Remember to use my referral code: sharonyo!
Good luck on your college journey!!
