Yeah.

@ShuttlepilotND

Yeah.

Random question regarding activities/awards section: if one of the things I listed was “Created and worked on a website…” (as an EC), should I also include the website URL? I don’t know if it’s called for or not. I mean I don’t mind admission officers visiting the site if prompted, just wondering if I should include it or not. Thanks!

Somebody here said that we should really use the additional comments section. What kind of stuff could I put there? I feel like my essays really say everything, but I want a stronger application.

Do I need to put my dad’s income if he does not support me or live with me? in paperwork my parents isn’t divorced though.

@bizmlover

No. Same situation here, and I didn’t.

@Doisys thanks for let me know. but i just want to make sure if it applies to my situation. did he claim you as dependent on his tax income? does his income count towards your family total’s income?

edited: I plan to explain about why his income counts toward total family income but does not support us. but if it doesn’t required to put his income then i just cut that part so that the application is consistent with my personal statement :|

@bizmlover

He currently does, but will not be supporting me when I transfer (I will be living with my mother), therefore I only reported her income.

@Doisys Oh i see. i’m still little confused though becos the app asked for income of 2013 and 2014. so you dn’t put his income for both years? if so, you will have 2 ppl in the family (excluding him)?

Jeez, this is really tricky than fafsa bc fafsa only count on tax return. I look around and some sources here said I only need to put income of the parent living w me. he’s supposed to live w us but he just doesn’t.
Did you consult w anyone?

I wanna say it really doesn’t matter, but idk. :/

I only see it being an issue if you speak about financial hardship in your essay and they audit you.

Hey guys!

We’re getting down to the wire! I just wanted to remind everyone to take some deep breaths and to try not to stress too much (easier said than done, I know).

Stretch, drink some water, rock out to some music, do something that relaxes you!

Anyone have stress relieving tips to share?

Had the same issue with “Please enter a valid grade other than IP (In Progress) or PL (Planned).” If you change the term to Fall instead of Winter it allows you to put IP. Mine was technically winter term, but oh well…

Did you choose semester with winter intersession? You should be able to put them as IP or PL

I have a question.
So when I took my Spanish class, I had to also take an online class that was worth .50 credit which was separate from my Spanish class. There was no option to write that in the UC app and I thought I didn’t need to and now I’m kicking myself for how stupid I was. I’ve already submitted it. Can I add that or should I add that?

so we turn in applications then what’s next?

@MizuRue If it was a separate class, had its own course #, and gave you credit then yes it must be added

@Hiitsnaomi In January you will get an email that will ask for an update, you will fill in your fall grades and planned/in progress courses, and submit it before Jan 31. Then in April, decisions are released.

Can I add it after I submitted?

Sure, just list it on the update.

UCs don’t really start looking at applications for admission until after the update. They may glance to see if anyone needs supplements, but the real looks come after they have fall grades.

@luckie1367 @Hiitsnaomi Thank you!
