has anyone in ca heard about advancing from district?
DS was notified that although he did not move forward in the competition that he was awarded a $1500 scholarship from the local lodge.
@theotterone I heard in early January about advancing from a competitive District in CA. I never heard anything until I heard I had won the district level competition; I didn’t even know I had advanced from my own lodge!!!
I just received an email telling me that I am moving onto States!! Does anyone know how many people advance past states, specifically New York?
Anyone from Georgia that can enlighten us as to the process? D got an email that she is moving on…but it did not specify as to state/region. Also did not indicate when she would hear something else.
Has anyone heard back from MA? Particularly anyone in the district with Worcester in it?
I am sorry if this has been answered already, but I received an email January 12 saying my application “has been forwarded to the next level of judging.” Does anyone know if this means from the local level to district level, or from the district level to the state level?
@MLB5252 I received an email from them on January 12th as well. My application was move from the local level to the district level. Have you heard from them at all other than this email? (I haven’t…)

The last email I got from them was mid January. I’ve heard nothing since! How about you?
The website says “District judging will be completed in late January, and State judging will be completed in mid-February.” I received the first notification that I was advancing in mid-January, but I haven’t received anything since. Does this mean I didn’t move on since the next round of judging was supposed to be completed in late January? Has anyone heard back about district judging?
@shanethesemi “As your application proceeds through the judging process, we will advise you of its progress through email notifications. You should expect to hear from us again in early February”. It’s only the first day of February- I’m sure they’ll notify you within the next couple of days.
Ahh fingers crossed. Does anyone have any information about how applications are advanced? Like how many move on from each district to the state level? How many move on from states to national?

My son just got an e-mail telling him that he advanced from District to State. The e-mail states that he should know late February if he is one of the 500 national finalists.
My son got an email this afternoon saying the same, that he advanced from district to state. I wonder how many advance to state? I mean do you think it’s a 1 in 4 chance now or a 1 in 25?
Same. Got the email from district to state. I am from MA. Time to compete against all of the qualified people from the boston area lol
Just got an email from the Elks National saying I moved on from district to state from the National Lodge
