I called the natl office today. She said local lodges can keep you updated so that’s why some people have found out, but ultimately the lodge forwards the information to them. On the 23rd the mass email should go out from the national office.
So unless you’re personal friends w/ the someone at your local lodge you won’t know until Monday?
and by “mass email” I wonder if that means mass “sorry you didn’t make the cut” email?
@Mom2Genius you don’t have to have a personal friend at Elks. All I did was email my state chairperson (they’re all listed publicly on the Elks MVS site). They can tell you.

@Mom2Genius @CourtneyThurston some chairs will not/may not reveal who went forward. I’m not sure I really understand your comment about having an insider. I think some lodges are simply more involved than others with the scholarship process. Especially those who award their own lodge money may keep in touch with candidates frequently.
Sure, but I think it’s worth a try. It shows that you care about the competition, and asking meant I didn’t have to suffer for 2+ weeks wondering if I made it.
True, congrats on all you’re scholarship achievements. Honestly it’s impressive! Question, do you think the colleges/scholarships will let you keep all the money? Or are you just going to apply to a bunch and see what happens? @CourtneyThurston I was warned to not apply lest the reduce my grant money
Though, I would think for some it’s would show demonstrated interest, it could annoy others of they god frequent calls from applicants.
It depends on the college. My colleges all stack scholarships.
What does stack mean?
They get added on top of each other (my institutional aid is not reduced).
