ADT e-verifications are supposed to be sent automatically. This will only occur if the students have petitioned for graduation. When your petition is filed at your CC, your name is then put on a list that the community colleges forward to the universities their students are attempting to transfer to. This e-verifies that they will indeed have their ADT as they so claimed on their initial/supplemental applications.
Your degree will still say “pending” because you need to finish up this semester before you have officially completed it. Did you say that you are taking classes this semester, or are you done? In any case, your CC still would notify SDSU that you do/will have your ADT by the end of this semester (spring 2015) assuming you pass all current courses. @tessanicole
Do you actually have a 4.0 though there’s like this vet who got rejected with a 4 0 and he went to the media. I find it really strange how state is so much harder to get into as a transfer than it was from hs. Maybe it’s because I live in San Diego but in hs you could get into state with like a 3.3 or 3.2 and if you wanted to get into ucsd you needed like a 4.2. Now it’s relatively as difficult to get into either one. But if you didn’t actually get 4.0 don’t post that
@qaz1995 I believe the reason he didn’t get accepted was because he didn’t have an ADT, I remember reading that article, his friend who had a significantly lower GPA had an associate’s and was accepted. I am pretty sure their priority decisions for transfers are based on area, ADT, GPA, and spaces available.
Ahhh I’m so nervous! I found this thread and decided to make a account just because it seems like a great way to hear updates and support each other I have been reading previous threads and it seems like the day is near and my nerves are like out of control
btw I’m a: Linguistics major
Not from SD, I live near LA
GPA 3.1… I know not very good but math and me do not get along
I have completed the “golden four” with A’s and one B and I am finishing the only pre-req right now
Also applied to: CSULB (Accepted), CSUN (IDK), and CSUF (Denied because of my GPA)
@qaz1995 As far as I know age is not part of the decisions that are made. For instance a guy I know transferred into UCDavis and was I think 34 and graduated when he was 38 with his BS. So I am pretty sure that age is not not a factor. It’s straight across the board because there are rules for age discrimination for a reason.
I wonder if there is discrimination for those who would like to transfer from a csu to another csu…
I feel like its very rare that they accept transfers from another state school and that is my case. I just really want to leave my hometown and make new friends and gain a new experience. I go to a commuter school at home and Its so hard to make new friends here and experience an actual “college life”
Hey guys! I thought I’d join this thread too. The anxiety is killing me!
Major: General Business
Location: In-state, but not local (Sacramento area)
GPA: 3.84
AA-T by Spring 2015
So far I have gotten accepted to CSUS, SJSU, and a private school. The only other two I applied to were Cal Poly SLO (don’t think I got in because people have already been notified earlier this week) and SDSU. Apparently, someone got the notification today about International Business so they might be sending acceptance letters today! Good luck to everyone! May the odds be in your favor
Correction: The person that posted the thread about International Business is a freshmen. Therefore, I’m assuming none of the transfer students have been notified yet.
I remember reading that the Vet who had a 4.0 that was denied was due to the fact that he didn’t take any prerequisites for his major. Some one said that he just took random classes and had a 4.0
@wavechaser99@mak209 I just called Mesa College in regards to that email disclosing the GPA cutoff for Criminal Justice this year and it turns out that the email was apparently not for this year’s applicant pool. It was from last year or something, so it could very well be different this year although it may not be drastically different. It could go either way. Just thought I’d update you on this new info. They have NO cut-off information for any majors unfortunately and I was just told that I’m going to have to be patient. It’s a little hard to be patient when your future is on the line! LOL
Hey guys,
I’ve been agressively refreshing my Web Portal and reading through everyone’s comments so I figured I would post too. I only applied to SDSU because I want to move back home and if I don’t get in, it means I do get to move. It’s kind of a bitterm sweet feeling because SDSU is the reason I moved down to San Diego.
My stats are:
Major: Biology (Zoology)
GPA: 3.6
Current school: SD Mesa College
I have completed all my post high school classes at San Diego Mesa. I have completed all major requirements but Biostats since no community colleges offer that course anymore.
I’m pretty anxious due to the impacted biology majors at State, but still hoping for the best.
Will we get an email if we get accepted or do we just check out WebPortal?
I literally am sweating I’m a nervous.
Thanks!
