@Fall2015SFBoy SDSU does offer an International Studies major. It’seems called Comparative International Studies. That is the major I applied to.
@arzate94 my cc sent me an email saying that I’ll be getting my As-t at the end of this semester and that I’ll need to forward this email to whatever university I’ll be attending
@Mak209 My cc at first told me I needed to send in my transcript (which I did) but they told me today that they sent my verification electronically to the chancellor. I contacted sdsu yesterday by email to see if I needed any other paperwork done but I haven’t gotten a reply yet
Haha good that’s a relief I was worried he had actually a 4 0 and got rejected
Call them and wait for half an hour or so who ever ends up helping you out can probably answer most of the questions you have
@davisgirl I know they do. The issue with their Comparative International Studies program is that is fairly new so they don’t put too much attention to it. On the other hand their Political Science department has been there for quite a while. This department gets more funding, has better faculty, and is more competitive. Check out the websites for each major and you’ll see what I am talking about.
Alright guys, I’ve been creeping on this forum too much now and I need to share information with you which I received today. I drove down from CSUF (where I currently go to school) to SDSU to see what the admission says about our applications. Apparently they aren’t going to give Transfer Students a decision until late March early April. Please don’t shoot the messenger, I’m probably more upset than you guys are haha
Anyway, since I’m now officially on this thread…
Television, Film, and New Media - Production
3.18GPA
Welcome @person403 and thank you for the information, even if it’s not what we want to hear!
It was surprising to see how empty the place was. there was only one other desk occupied out of the six that were open. Makes you wonder why/how they put someone on hold for so long…
@person403 Does that include people without the AA, AT?
Yeah, I’m coming from a State school, so I don’t have those either
Hey guys, I’ve been reading through this thread and figured i would join in the waiting with you all!

@raychill89 I am! I read you were also communications, are you also general?
Yes I am!!! YAY!!! I am so excited someone else on here is in the same major! @sawi4397
@raychill89 we got this!!!

This is the only state school I applied to, the rest are UC’s. TAG for UC Davis has already been accepted.
@person403 Hi! welcome to the long thread of transfers! haha
I am also coming from a state school (CSUB) and my major is Liberal studies, with an overall gpa of 3.19, it will definitely go up after this quarter.
Just wanted to know your opinion, do you think state to state school transfers are successful?? I’ve noticed that in the past threads from 2012, 2013, 2014 there were rarely any state to state transfers and I really hope I can get in. I got rejected from Cal Poly.
Im curious as to why people transfer from a state school to another? Can you explain? @lbstudies
