2015 SDSU Transfer Decisions

@ksuksuksu‌ Did you already have your AS-T when you applied? I’m kind of in the same boat right now. I followed my educational plan to a t when I turned in my supplemental application but when I received my evaluation for graduation they changed my units around and added more units from my transferred credits from the University of Phoenix—by that time, the deadline for the supplemental had passed. I am afraid that they’ll rescind my application.

@ieatsushi‌ As long as you have, or over 60 units they can admitt you, but once they require your final transcript, then they’ll determine if they will rescind you, or not.

@brett8‌ According to my graduation evaluation I have 61.5 transferable units (I listed 58.5 following my educational plan on my supplemental)—the evaluator added an ethics class I took with the University of Phoenix under the Social Sciences (D7) section. I received an A in that class so with it being added, my GPA is actually higher than what I originally reported. After I finish this semester, I will have 70.5 total units; I’m finishing my major requirements. I really hope that I don’t get turned down because one class, that I didn’t need either way, wasn’t reported.

Hey guys, been reading this forum for a while now. I’m going crazy waiting! I’m happy at least some of you got through to helpful people at the admissions office, I called a couple days ago and when asked if there was an estimate of when decisions would be sent out I got an icy response of “By April” ha. Anyways, here are my stats:

Major - English- single subject teaching
Location - San Diego, CA (Grossmont College)
GPA - 3.33
AA/AS-T? Not offered at my school for my major

The only thing I am worried about is I have one major prep class not completed. However, it is one class session only available at one community college in the whole county, at 7pm, and I’ve talked to several people who haven’t taken it either due to busy schedules. I also called the office a while ago and they told me that having one or two major prep classes does not automatically get you denied. Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

I have a question. For the original application units attempted and units completed would be the same thing if I passed all my classes correct? and they would have not included the in progress since we had an in progress section is that correct?

@815gab‌ Yes

Nor Cal Transfer. Major: Financial Services with 90 units completed. 3.0 GPA. AS-T Business Admin from ARC at the end of spring 2015, with every transfer requirement fulfilled.
Accepted to SJSU (BusAdmin) and wait listed at CSULB (Finance)

I cannot wait for decisions to be made!

@lshields7 We have the same major~ what prep class was it that you’re missing?

@gh0stii linguistics

@davis_girl‌ so even though I have pre reqs done here, because they don’t match sd’s, I can’t get it?

@alelii‌ do you have all prerequisites completed?

Transfer from CSULB.

Business Admin (Finance).
3.52 GPA with all SDSU pre-rec’s completed.

Really hoping to get in!

New to this, so I wanted to post mine as well.

Major - Sociology
Location - San Diego
GPA - 3.17(Working on improving it this semester)
AA-T- Will be completed by Spring 2015

My admission status is still pending. Good luck to everyone who applied.

@ieatsushi i meant i reported wrong number of units completed (20 instead of above 60), so as long as you have 60+
units you are fine

@kittenfarts‌ Sorry for replying so late! and yes I want to become an elementary school teacher. & I don’t think you can teach elementary school with an English major. Just because there are tons of different subjects, especially on teaching elementary school math because of the new Common Core… but of course I can’t tell you that you CAN’T. Speak with an advisor at your college who handles liberal studies students, they can probably tell you more about it (:

Thanks @ksuksuksu & @brett8‌ you guys have been a tremendous help to my peace of mind!

@Mdalton77‌ Hey, I’m just curious… Why do you choose to transfer from CSULB to State? I was admitted to CSULB for Finance and I would love to get your opinion about the school/program.

Hi all,

I am so glad I found this site!

I am a undergraduate transfer for Fall 2015. I have not heard anything yet and my status is still pending.

Here are my Stats:

Major: Speech Language and Hearing Sciences
GPA: 3.76
Area: Huntington Beach, California (Southern California)

I am getting an AA is Social and Behavioral Sciences but it is not an AA-ST degree.

I also saw that the housing portal link disappeared about a week and a half ago…

I did see that there are two other Speech and Hearing Sciences majors on this site… Have you two heard anything back yet?

Hopefully, we will be hearing back soon! Best of luck to everyone!

@TruffleButter‌ CSULB is mostly a commuter school and it can be very tough to meet people if you don’t get involved in Greek Life or Club Sports. CSULB has a decent program for finance, but it’s easy to miss the college experience here.

So why do you guys want to go to SDSU?
