@raychill89 @TruffleButter that scares me, mines been down for a while :-S
@jnrb1234 i am very sorry, we have the same stats except that your GPA is higher than mine and i got accepted, consider appealing
@katrinacullen nope i don’t live in that area. I am located towards the central coast.
Hey guys I’ve been lurking as well for some time now lol
Major: Linguistics
GPA: 2.7 (bad I know)
Still pending.
I will have a AA but not ADT
A couple people in my linguistics class has been accepted, oh the wait… I already have my appeal letter written haha.
How come some people with ADT’s are hearing back? I got an email saying not until April. Is it only certain ADT majors that have to wait?
Social work applicant, my status still says pending. My heart goes out to those 2 or 3 of you who got denied from social work today : ( I’m confused that social work is hearing back at this point, I thought that it was on that list of majors that wouldn’t hear back until April? Does anyone know if the decisions are sent out in batches by department? It certainly seems like there are at least small groups of people in the same major getting their decisions at the same time. Just trying to figure out if I should be expecting my decision very soon because other social work majors heard back.
I’m sorry for those of you who have been denied! Now just wondering if most people with AA-Ts get in? Saw a lot of people denied today. My boyfriend (Aerospace Engineer 3.9 in state) was denied today as well
Just wondering if that means that those of us with transfer degrees will have a better chance now?
@raychill89 When I applied for SDSU my counselor told me to be sure I applied for Arts degree but I later realized she meant Language Arts Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T or ADT) instead of Art History. I kept getting emails from SDCCD evaluations office saying that i didn’t have an education plan on file, so I logged into the web portal at SDSU and found out that I made a mistake on my initial application. I called SDSU admissions on Monday and informed them about my mistake and asked how I can fix it and I was told it was too late and I would have to be admitted based on a regular associate degree instead of ADT and I believe this is one of the reasons why I got admitted. Because admissions reviewed my file while I was on the phone and I received the congratulations email the day after.
@islandreading I am glad it all worked out for you in the end. Congrats on your acceptance!
I went to the transfer center at Mesa today to check if I was on the list of students that will have their ADT e-verified by the school tomorrow and while there I was confirmed to be on the list, however I was also told that I have to send in my transcripts to SDSU and they need to be received by tomorrow. The person there, also told me that I needed to call SDSU’s office of admissions to see the quickest method for them to receive them, either electronically or handing them a hard copy there. I called them and they instead told me I do not even have to send my transcripts until AFTER I am admitted, even as a ADT applicant. Anyone here can give me some clarification with this issue?
I might give SDSU a call again later today to be sure.
Many thanks for the past useful info from all of you guys!
@hmmman That is so incredibly weird because I went to the transfer center at Mesa yesterday and was told nothing else needs to be done and that the ADTs will be e-verified by Mesa college by tomorrow (March 13th) since they will not be in the office on Sunday March 15th.
On SDSU’s website, it bluntly states that they do not want students sending in transcripts until they have been provisionally admitted. Who did you speak to there at Mesa that told you your transcripts needed to be sent in?
@hmmman I don’t think you need to do it if you’re verified. I know I got an email saying that if you had your adt before the spring you would need to send in a copy of your grades. Which kind of confused me so the other day I sent in an electronic transcript just incase they mess up and they didn’t verify in time
@gh0stii Do you still have access to that email? Can you post it here for others to see in case anyone else falls into that category?
@raychill89 this is the old email that said what they were talking about … It’s for the year prior but it might still apply
SDSU – ASSOCIATE DEGREE FOR TRANSFER (ADT) APPLICANTS:
Students must submit ADT degree verification to SDSU by March 15th.
· If you earned your Associate Degree for Transfer in Fall 2013, send your official transcripts to SDSU. Your transcripts indicate your degree earned. You can order your transcripts online at: https://studentweb.sdccd.edu/transcript/
· If you are earning your Associate Degree for Transfer in Spring 2014, you will need to send verification using your Graduation Evaluation. All pending Spring 2014 ADT, who have petition to graduate by February 13, 2014 will receive their Graduation Evaluation in time to mail a copy to SDSU. Mail to: Office of Admissions, San Diego State University, 5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182-7455. If you have not petitioned to graduate see ADT information below.
@gh0stii This was actually last year’s email, wasn’t it? This is for people graduating with an ADT in 2013-2014.
This year, the ADT e-verification process is much different. Students are ONLY required to petition for graduation and the school takes care of the rest. There was a LOT of confusion last year with what students were required to do to verify their ADTs and many students were denied admission because of it. This year, they wanted to make the process easier so there were less mistakes.
I wasn’t sure if this applied to people who had their 2014 adt in fall too so that’s why I sent in a copy of my transcript. Maybe that’s why the date on my app changed
@gh0stii I am sure you’re fine. Call SDSU to ask them though and see what they say. When I went into the transfer center yesterday, the woman I spoke with told me there were many rumors going around about what’s going on with ADT applicants. She calmed my nerves a lot and reassured me that as long as your name is on the list of ADT transfer applicants, you are fine and everything will be taken care of.
@raychill89 I just want to know already… Lol <\3
You and me both! I am pretty sure I am getting grey hairs from stress and anxiety. Haha! Only another month (maybe less)! @gh0stii
@raychill89 Some part of me does not want to share his/her name but I can say that his/her name starts with a D.
@gh0stii I completed my courses for the ADT last semester and received my ADT certificate this year so does that mean I do not need to send in the transcripts?
Thanks for the info guys.
