@raychill89 so when you tried to ask them if your ADT was verified what was the answer they gave you?
The lady in the transfer center allegedly called the district evaluations office and said they saw my name on the list and that the list will be sent by today. I keep hearing “Your name is on the list. Everything checks out and will be fine.” It’s the same generic answer I have been getting for the last couple of weeks now. I called SDSU to ask what my other options are in the event that Mesa doesn’t send the darn list, and they basically told me I’d most likely have to appeal. I’m just going to relax and stop stressing it. Nothing else can be done to make sure everything is verified. They need the verification from the school…that’s how it works this year. Hopefully they get it right… @ieatsushi
@raychill89 @ieatsushi Alrighty guys, I’m validating @raychill89’s findings. I was on the phone with SDSU this morning and the (very nice) lady told me that they cannot verify ANY e-verifications until the deadline has passed. I know this is annoying because today is technically the last day to get them in, but we must trust the district.
I’ve known that the SDCCD evaluators are the ones who process the verifications and I’ve spoken to them many times in the past two weeks. The various ladies I have spoken to (SDCCD evaluators) have told me that they have been triple checking every students eligibility (if they’re on the e-verify list) so that when the deadline arrives – everyone is in great shape. I know my e-verification was submitted on 2/11/2015 to the e-verification database for all the CSUs to access. They all access the info at different times so that is out of our hands. CSULB already received/processed my AS-T e-verification so that alone is proof that they’re doing their job (while CSUF & SDSU have yet to access the e-verify database).
The lady I spoke with earlier today also told me that she received an email this morning stating that SDSU’s admissions office will start accessing/processing ADT e-verifications IN BULK this coming Monday and Tuesday. She suggested that I call back by the end of next week (to give the info time to update/post to my file) to check if they finally received it. I suggest y’all do the same thing to!
It’s honestly so exciting that we are literally at the cusp of finding out news that will forever change our lives!!! I’ve also noticed that 2014 ADT students found out their admission decisions on April 7th, 2014. That day was the first Monday of April so (if history repeats itself) we should be hearing back from state on April 6th, 2015 which is my birthday! My acceptance would be the BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!
OK, so I remembered an e-mail that I got from CSUEB, I didn’t send in my transcripts because I decided I didn’t want to try and do online and I’d rather wait until next year if I didn’t get into SDSU but, I digress. In the e-mail it says:
Your community college has been asked to confirm your degree status through the state-wide ADT eVerify site by March 15, 2015. After this date, CSUEB will download your status and update our records. At this time, you do not need to take any action or submit documentation to CSUEB since your community college will do it on your behalf. This email message is informational only.
So, I am wondering if that’s what SDSU does, which would explain why they can’t verify ADTs because they don’t take any information once the deadline has passed. And since it says that the CCs do verifications through a state-wide site it makes me wonder if what exactly is going on. I could understand why SDSU would be confused and seem unaware that anything is going on because they’re just on the receiving end.
I wish I could “like” your comment more than once. So positive! Definitely needed that…so thank you!!!
My birthday is the 11th! It would be STELLAR to get accepted around that time!!! Ahhhh. @trufflebutter
Hahaha, I wish I saw your post before I posted mine, @TruffleButter. I’m glad I got more of an explanation now, thanks. I think that if both schools actually explained the processes better they would save a lot of time and money from students having to call in because they have no idea what’s going on.
SO i just called SDSU and they told me that we have to call our schools to see if they completed the verifications; SDSU can’t track them yet. I emailed Mesa and they told me they e-verified my ADT back in January (i did get it last year thou, so thats why mine was verified earlier). Make sure you call the school you are transferring from…
agh this is definitely making me worried about my community college sending the AA-T certification on time
My admissions office told me all about how they send the certification so that all state schools are notified of the AA-T completion but I didn’t get a for sure answer of when this was sent or if every state school has received the AA-T completion… I received my certificate letting me know I would be receiving my Communications AA-T by the end of spring 2015 so I’m hoping SDSU is aware of that as well.
I did receive the email letting us know we won’t know about admission decisions until april, but I really wanna know now!!
I’ve been accepted to SFSU, SJSU, and Channel Islands as my back up
I’m waiting on SDSU, UCSC, UCI, and UCDavis and then I did a tag agreement with UCSB so I’m hoping for the best and staying positive because that’s all we can do while we wait right
hopefully the next couple of weeks go by fast!
I also called sdsu like a week ago and they told me it takes around 3 weeks for the file to update showing the verification of the degree. My cc barley sent it in since I emailed the person in charge and said he never had verified it electronically and I had graduated in fall 2014. He also sent it tI the chancellor office. I decided to use my transcript since it had proof of my degree and forward it to sdsu. The lady on the phone said it will be fine if my transcript has proof of my degree if by some reason they don’t get the verification of my AS-T by cc. So if your transcript is showing proof might as well forward it to sdsu just incase .
Yeah that’s what I did just incase is wasn’t verified! I was paranoid lol
Hey does anyone know if they would overlook any GPA changes compared to my app? Like I won’t be able to hold my acceptance if my GPA drops a bit? I reported a 3.76 on there and if I get a B this semester it’ll drop it down to 3.72. I’m asking just in case…
I can’t imagine they would. If you are accepted and don’t fail classes, I think they just won’t accept lower than a C. I didn’t see anything that states anything else.
Hey guys, I’m a nutrition major and was accepted Monday night. I was wondering if anyone knows any discussions set up or facebook pages for roommates and such for transfers only.
@christinasdsu I was wondering the same thing! I haven’t received my admission status yet but I was definitely wondering if anyone had started one. I’ve looked but found nothing
I just looked on their website to check what was available for transfer students from out of the area. They do have campus apartment living and sharing an apartment and having a single room for 9 months and no meal plan is $1184/ month.
I just logged in to SDSU link and saw my financial aid being processed. Does it mean I got accepted?
Did anybody get their decision today?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1752254-credit-limit-insight.html#latest if anyone could please take a second to look at this. I know it is not regarding transfer, but I would greatly appreciate advice and information. Thanks.
Is it April yet?
Post here if you guys have any update on the ADT verification stuff please, I would love to know. Thanks!
