Did they say anything about COLA? Or will all COLA decisions be out by June 15th like we are all expecting?
Really? Dang, because I’m applying for the iMPA program and it says they will release the decisions for the iMPA program during the week of June 26. Also i spoke to the head of the iMPA program couple of months ago and she told me that UT Austin admissions committee releases their decisions weeks before the iMPA admissions committee releases their. Hopefully things haven’t changed, waiting until July 1st will suck. @UTMccombs2017
^^ wondering the same thing. i was under the impression we’d find out sooner.
Does anyone know if/when another wave of rtf apps will be accepted?
@wickedwarrior777 @aaparekh321 @texascatlover @madeleine2020
That was my mistake, supposed to read June 1st. Please report the comment so it can get deleted. Sorry about that guys!
PLEASE DISREGARD MY LAST COMMENT ABOUT THE DECISION DATES FOR MCCOMB’S AND PETROLEUM ENGINEERING.
@UTMccombs2017 no worries lol
@ibleedorange5 I’ve already been accepted to the UTA school of nursing with a transfer scholarship…which is great and all, but UT Austin is my dream school. I go to UTD right now and I really want to be in a new environment. It’s nice to know that I have something to fall back on though.
Also, who told you that you have to apply to upper division? This used to be the case, but Spring 2016 was the last time they accepted upper-division nursing applicants. It’s good because now once you’re accepted into nursing, you’re automatically in the Professional Sequence. On the other hand, it’s way more competitive with less spots available for freshmen and transfer students Apparently last year, there were about 150 spots available for new students.
I would contact the nursing advisors for more information about this change.
Good luck to you:) I have some friends at ACC. Hoping that nursing decisions are sent out in the next month…
Anyone know how competitive Biology is? I heard its the least competitive in natural sciences.
I would like to know as well
also does anyone know overall how competitive chemistry is? Possible do you think I have a good chance of getting in with a 3.737 gpa to Chem transfer in the college of natural sciences? @utcswannabe
I think chemistry should be fine for you. CNS is not as easy as COLA but it’s still fairly easy I’ve heard, so I think with a 3.737 you should be fine. Can someone check me and make sure that I’m giving correct info? COLA is easier to get into than CNS right?
@wickedwarrior777 Yea COLA is easier I believe, I applied for computer science primary but chemistry secondary major. I heard that 3.737 is too low for computer science though; however I don’t know if I will be able to at least get chemistry
Anyone have an idea of when the next wave of decisions will be?
@istew13 I was thinking they would send out every weekend since the last wave was last weekend. Seems like nobody got a decision this weekend though so who knows
Has anyone applied/heard from the College of Fine Arts? I emailed the admissions board and was told that admission decisions would be posted by mid April, but still haven’t been given a decision. You’re contacted either way (rejected or admitted) right?
Does anyone know if they admit more people in the spring and then less people in the summer or is it constant all the way through with regards to how they admit people?
Does anyone know what day McCombs decisions will be released for people with less than 30 hours?
Latest for anyone with less than 30 hrs is June 15-20th I believe. Not sure how early they will begin. Good luck
If I have 50 credit hours from an out of state school, would I be considered under 30 if UT won’t accept the majority of my credits? Most of them weren’t gen ed courses, and were film instead (I’m applying to RTF). Also, if I don’t get in based on if they don’t accept enough of my credits, can I appeal? Since I’m taking 12 credits now, and 15 credits over the summer.
If anyone can answer my questions I would appreciate it. Thanks!
