2016/2017 UT Austin Transfer Thread

Accepted into Moody Public Relations (2nd option) denied to Mccombs due to not have Cal II completed. 3.8 GPA, extensive management, accounting, auditing and clinical database experience. 80 credit hours, honor society, board member of several business clubs and abundance of volunteer work including social work, taxation service, and community service coordination and execution. Military veteran (Marine Corps) as well as in-state transfer student from ACC. Best of luck to those awaiting responses! HOOK EM!

Is anyone still waiting to hear from Moody? I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t heard from them :frowning:

I’m still waiting as well. I applied to RTF and I keep seeing everyone get their decisions which is making me a little worried.

@2020UT I’m waiting for advertising. No news is better than bad news, I guess!

Denied mechanical accepted civil 3.87. I’ve previously posted all my stats on this thread.

Still waiting over here, hopefully I’ll hear something soon. 1st choice: Journalism, 2nd: English

Anyone waiting for CNS? I feel like I haven’t seen/heard of a ton of decisions from CNS. My second choice is COLA, and it seems like they’re waiting until the very end. Also, how competitive is Chemistry? Getting very anxious now…

Waiting for CNS Computer Science and second choice is history. My chances of getting into CS are next to none since my GPA is a 3.4ish. Have 31 hours from UTD, 3 good essays, no LOR, had lots of volunteer events on my resume, and did 4 years of robotics in high-school. I currently have an internship at a software company but didn’t get the chance to add it to my resume before June 1st. Very nervous…

has anyone heard back that applied as a psychology major? and what were your stats

@hookemags I was accepted back In April But I was accepted BS in psych. 3.64 GPA 33 hours and 3 letters of rec and volunteer hours and 2 essays

@hookemags I was also accepted back in April to psych with a 3.7 and 38 hours. Two essays and no letter of recommendations.

@p0726n @Kimberlytori how long did it take for yall to hear back?

@hookemags I applied around March 15th I think? Around the last day of application. And heard back April 13th or 14th

@hookemags I applied early February and heard back around the second to third week in April.

Hello I’ve been a lurker on here for a while. i’m currently waiting for my decision from UT like many of you! I was a CAP student at UTSA this year waiting to hear back for Nursing. I called admissions yesterday and they said all decisions could take up to 2 weeks because they are a lot of applicants this year :frowning:

@crispz i called them a few days ago and they told me all decisions should be out by june 15th

@UTCStransferr dont give up dude, ive seen people have strokes of luck and get into CS. I will be honest and say that your chances are pretty much non existent at CS BUTTTTT there are other ways of getting into and CS and by next year it should be declining in competitiveness.

@utcswannabe

Is a 3.824 GPA good enough for cola?

Yes, definitely! @wickedwarrior777

The only thing that scares me is that I’m transferring from two schools. I started at one and had to transfer to one closer to home because of medical reasons. I went to meet with an admissions counselor and they said that they don’t care about me moving around and that they are always looking for good students.
