Oh wow @utcswannabe I live really close to UT Tyler in Longview, Texas.

Anyone wanna chance me?
Applied as a psychology b.s major
Gpa: 4.0
2 essays: good
1 LOR
involved in a lot of EC, some volunteering, and job experience tutoring kids

@hookemags I mean we can’t guarantee anything here on the thread, but it looks like you will get accepted. Psychology isn’t that competitive and it looks like you have a very competitive application.

@UTMccombs2017 BRO even thoe i got accepted to UT, ill swoop swoop for life #Patriots

@utcswannabe I’m ONLY gonna rep UT Tyler gear. #PatriotAlumni

@UTMccombs2017 Dude, were gunna meet up and rep that hard. Lets go to a football game swagggggeeeddd out in Patriot Gear and just start screaming “Talons Up” and “Swoop Swoop” (not even dependent on which team scores the touch down)

@utcswannabe That’s actually a really good idea haha. If we don’t get beat up in the process.

Haha. @UTMccombs2017 I would not rep the school because business program there is ranked low. We will both be entering a top tier business, so all we should have is mccombs gear hahahaha.

@financems Haha yeah once I get my acceptance letter to McComb’s I’m gonna start a bonfire for all my UT Tyler gear.

So I’m a current UT student who’s been lurking. I’m speaking for my boyfriend, he was a Texas resident attempting to transfer from an out of state school (University of Oklahoma). He was rejected a few days ago and it really hurt him. He’s a second year student (now entering his junior year in the upcoming semester) currently majoring in Chemical Engineering.

GPA: 4.0 (yes…he was on the Dean’s List too)
Intended major: Chemical Engineering
Classes (I’m not sure all the classes he took so I’m just recalling those I remember): Calc 1, 2, 3, Diff Eq, Chem 1,2, Physics 1, 2, English 1, Music appreciation, and a couple other Chemical Engineering specific classes…
Essays: Decent
LOR: I think he submitted 1 or 2?
EC’s: not great, but had a lot in high school

UT tried to reject him the first time since he didn’t submit a transcript from community college (he took some classes there over the summer), although they didn’t let him know until it was too late and I had to personally go into admissions to find someone who would actually talk to us. He submitted an appeal, and it was approved. UT admitted that this was their fault and mistake.

I’m just posting this here just in case someone else wanted to compare stats and their experience. Congratulations to those who were accepted!

@shmktzw Do you mean just his original application was rejected, or both the original application and the appeal?

Hi, I just want to add that I got all 65 credits transferred to UT. @krisstory99

Appreciate the update! @soarup Happy my list is helping people most likely

Only 4 days at max left! Good luck everybody! I would assume they release a wave of acceptances on june 12 or 13.

Are we 100% sure that June 15th is the last day for all decisions to come out? Some people are saying that they have two more weeks and what not. Any thoughts?
