2016/2017 UT Austin Transfer Thread

@Krisstory99 me to see you there

Hey y’all, I have a lease at the Ruckus apartments that I am no longer going to be needing. If anyone is interested please message me and I will give you more info! Here is the website if you want to check it out http://www.ruckuslofts.com it is a brand new building!

just a quick heads up, if you’re planning on doing an internal transfer you aren’t allowed to do it if you were rejected from that department. For example, I applied with RTF as first choice (rejected) but got into Moody. But I was told I’m not allowed to transfer to an RTF major.

@fespj - I’m not an expert, but I would ask that question again of someone else. Even if you apply to transfer to a major, you are usually allowed 2 tries. IDK, it could be right, but it sounds a little suspect.

@krisstory99 sorry lol, I am not applying till next march, just here to absorb some information and tips

Did you get in?

So, when you sent your application how many hours had you completed at that point?

@unclefe I’m starting my freshman year at UT this fall. My first choice was mechanical, second choice biomedical, but I got accepted into architectural engineering. I’m hoping to transfer into mechanical. I had a few questions about what your experience was like transferring within Cockrell.

  1. When exactly did you apply for a transfer? Was it at the end of fall semester of freshman year?
  2. What did the transferring process look like? I have orientation in a couple of months, and I want to have a good idea of some kind of timeline, so I can discuss it with my advisor and be on track towards my desired major.
  3. Did you accept any AP credits? If so, did the credits allow you to have space in your schedule so you could work towards mechanical engineering?
  4. What did your grades look like to get a 3.8 GPA?

@supersaiyanhan hey did you end up getting into nursing?

.

Hi can I please the stats of the nursing program and what GPA Austin community college transfers had, please.
