Do you any of you guys have access to the UCLA student portal? Due to summer school or other reasons? If so, have you guys seen any change in activity?
In past threads there was talk about how there were changes in Financial Aid Tracking/Awards and Aid and Housing around this time.
I didn’t apply there but I’ve heard of the UCSD housing trick but they disabled that this year @g_green

Don’t see many Xican@ Studies majors on this board. I applied myself with a 3.19 GPA - I’m putting all my chips on my EC’s/Community involvement + essay. I hope you get in! @g_green

I’ve been checking UCSD - I can do this housing trick people speak about - I can list myself as a roommate in the off-campus housing section and it gives me a @ucsd.edu - but I won’t know if that indicative of anything until hopefully later today.

Things to Note: I’ve worked full-time while in school (Still do.) 1st generation college student, low income background, returning student, & heavily involved in community/culturally oriented activities.
Dream School: UCLA - because I would love to continue building within my community.
Alternate - Berkeley - Xican@ Studies program is great + Prestige lol
Also; Berkeley reached out to me a month ago requesting unofficial transcripts - not sure if this means anything as well. :\ Hope its a good thing?

I also am low-income and first generation. And I’m not sure if asking for transcripts is a good thing. From what I read it’s just to clarify something on your application. But best of luck to you!

Accepted to UCSD, but as undeclared :-S I’m a CS major in UCR and I’m dead set on that major for my future career. How difficult is it to get into the school? This is so weird because I have already took numerous CS classes in UCR, even some upper divisions…
